I love cheap shots
Yes but eventually they don't work after a 2 day bender...

So you turn the glass upside down and pour a part of the shot on to the hollow and then snort it..

Especially great for tequila ... bypasses the stomach and goes straight to the brain...

Disclaimer:This post does not condone snorting tequila at Showdowns whilst sitting near obnoxious Crows fans.

3 tall forwards is fine. We dont need 4.

The out of form Marshall goes out for the in form Watts.

Dixon/Westhoff/Watts is a great result. Much better than the Dixon/Trengove tandem of last year.

Combined with Thomas, Gray and Wingard our forward line is a nightmare for oppo coaches. If our midfield gets on top early we will destroy the Saints.

X2.

I see AJs strengths. Lightning speed, tackles like a machine and hits as hard as anyone since Pickett, but he's an ordinary kick, he struggles to find much of the pill, his defensive pressure is rarely really outstanding, hes injury prone, and he's never really done much at SANFL level.

I hope he finds a new level, but right now im with ya, im not exactly sure why the coaches are so excited about him.
X3 really not sure about the hype over him, it's Impey all over again. I never rated Impey but he was a fan favourite right up until last year when everyone starting getting jack of his fleeting moments of brilliance mixed with long periods of doing absolutely nothing other than creating turnovers from his limited possessions.

Apparently he has all these amazing attributes but he hasn't even dominated an SANFL game yet, he is fleeting at that level.

I see huge potential but i'd argue that his selection is a bit of a gold pass.

I see AJ as another DBJ, performs much better at AFL level than SANFL level so would not take his Magpies form too seriously.

In that loss against West Coast, I thought he was just about our best in the first half. Agree that his kicking needs work, but then again, so does Sam Gray who has held that spot for a few years now.

Also, when has Neade ever dominated an SANFL game to warrant all the games that he's been given, if that's what you're going by?

looking forward to seeing Lindsay & Aidyn team up again, they were such a handful together at sanfl level, with Aidyn's youthfulness & Lindsay's experience. complimented each other well.
Aidyn Johnson is a good in .. Steven Motlop said he is very impressed with Aidyn, and he will be a good player for Port ... :thumbsu:
Hope he is right .. :D

I like him because he's fast and has a few tricks that can catch opposition defenders off guard. He's still only 20 and pretty raw but I reckon if we pumped 50 games into him we'd reap the rewards.

Watched a Director from work do that one night. He thought everyone was laughing at him not realising that blood was pissing out of his nose all over his white business shirt.

Hinkley says recruit needs to 'own spot' in Port's team
PORT Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley has thrown the gauntlet down to recalled forward Jack Watts to cement his place in the side, while declaring it was an easy decision to bring back defender Darcy Byrne-Jones after serving a club-imposed one-week suspension.
Watts and Byrne-Jones are two of four changes to the Power line-up for Saturday's encounter with a dangerous St Kilda at Adelaide Oval.
All Australian candidate Tom Jonas returns from a hamstring injury, while pacy forward Aidyn Johnson comes in for his third game of the season, replacing Sam Gray who could miss more than one week with an ankle problem.

Hoff playing forward more is a sign of Hinkley have more confidence in our defence holding up without him. Of course there will be times he's thrown back (last 5 minutes of quarters, etc).

Did you see in the Tiser today. Port is leading club for pressure acts and guess who is the leading player...

Fages does a mean pressure act. ;)

I reckon Johnson is the type that needs to really apply himself in the gym and with his preparation. At the moment we know he's talented but I think his professionalism needs some work before his body will start to respond and build some resilience for an AFL season. That said I like when he's in the side as his pressure acts are great, and he's lightening quick. I just hope his soft tissue injuries don't mount and effect his electric pace.

In big games I trust Jonas to run the backline. If he's not there then Hoff needs to drift back more.
