I think he means White is barely a ruckman like Dawes is barely a ruckman. I think White is better than Dawes in the ruck but would prefer him as a full time forward.

Well, with Young Ruckman we need someone who can ruck more then just a Short Time we need someone who can Ruck for Descent amount of Time. That is Gault

86 metres gained which made him 357th in the AFL - However, 545 metres gained assisted (by team mates after his disposal) 2nd in the AFL… Stats can and always are deceiving mate and can always paint whatever picture the author wants them to paint, whether that author is supporter, player, commentator or coach!

Do you have access to his targets and their kick ratings as well? I did think that the secondary metres gained would be high because he was hitting guys in space away from the contest.

On the whole I've always rated him at his best when hitting the scoreboard and delivering I50 because he's generally had a high retention rate in the forward half. Based on that I wasn't unhappy to see him utilizing others to move it forward, but if he's gone to Rich by hand 8 times who had a +20 kick rating that hurts.

Of course, but Carlton never had the A-graders across the park that Adelaide have, nor did they have a solid defense. As I said, "I know it's just one game"... But that's the only sample we have and they utterly demolished a top 4 contender in one of the most impressive performances in recent years.

I think it's half way between Adelaide being great and North being awful. North didn't look interested at all. We'll see! We're deservedly underdogs, but we're definitely a chance

via the coaching staff, apparentely All players lost between 3 & 5 kilo during the game. Cloke lost 5, another half a kilo he would have been taken from the ground a put on a drip.

Bucks said today, in this order, Dwyer, Broomhead and Seedsman were best in the VFL.
This has me thinking Dwyer's ankle is fine, I am far more optimistic about a straight Dwyer/Sidebottom swap as he is the best fit by far.
I reckon Bucks might drop Oxley and bring in the Seed for more run off half back and on the wing, really stretch the Adelaide half forwards and make them run all day.

If this happens I think on our best night we have a chance. Adelaide looked extremely dangerous though, we have to win contested possessions, that's our only hope really. Their forwards are better than ours too, our back 6 are gonna have a far harder time than they had vs Brisbane, will be a shock to the system at times I reckon, especially under the dome.

If in: Dwyer, Seedsman and out: Sidebottom, Oxley then I have Adelaide in front by 2 goals, which gives us a sniff.

This game for me shows us where we stand, I got Brisbane at 12th this year so this result will shape the rest of our season in my mind, can we be top 6 material or will we have a roller coaster season. Time to stand up Cloke and White, 4 goals 5 between them should have been 6 goals 3, they need to start finding 7 and 8 goals between them.

I am ambivalent on his spot in the side right now. He has plenty of time ahead of him. No need to rush for the sake of it. And Broomhead and seedsman need the games more than he does right now.
