I'd like to see Broomhead and Gault play. Broomhead for Sidebottom is easy but not sure who to put out for Gault. We are going to need talls down back and White was good enough to stay in. I'm also reluctant to go in with 1 less runner given Sidebottom's run is big loss. Looks like Gault has to wait.

Could take a defender out for gault, eg oxley or Ramsay.

i'd say given the doubt on cloke's mobility for this game, we should just stick him deep in the fwd 50. we should then let white, gault and grundy to run around the half fwd line.

To make it even better the Crows were up all game and I was with 4 of my mates (all Adelaide fans) and they were giving me plenty all game! Never tasted a victory that sweet! Probably the loudest roar I've heard also in that 4th.

Louder than the 09 semi? :(

Going off last year I hope we don't do that.

This is going to be a tough game.

Adelaide are much more of a formidable opponent than the Lions were last week. I'm quite concerned about the threat the Crows forward line will pose to our young defenders this week but if we can break even with them then we're halfway to winning this match. I assume Marley will play on Betts as he did last year and the previous year when Betts was playing for Carlton, and Frost and Brown will have crucial jobs in stopping Walker and Jenkins.

Despite Sidebottom's absence which is a massive blow to the club I think we can cover him with either the inclusion of Kennedy and Broomhead. I'd be happy to see either of them to replace Sidey as both boys will want to prove their credentials and cement a spot in the best 22 this year. Adelaide's midfield doesn't overly worry me provided that Pendles and Swan have strong games. I'm not sure if we're planning on tagging one of the Crows midfielders in either Dangerfield or Sloane but if we are I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor Adams plays more of a tagging role this weekend

Adelaide were superb last week but they benefited from the fact that North Melbourne were deplorable and plus they wanted to prove themselves to new coach Phil Walsh. We were quite good in the first three quarters against the Lions and if we can bring that intensity and pressure from those first three quarters of the Lions game to this upcoming match I think we're a chance.

We're deservingly underdogs but there's a huge chance to make a strong start to the year by winning this as most are anticipating that we'll defeat the Saints in the following week on Friday night.

I just can't wait to get back to attending the footy even though it's at our 'favourite stadium' in Etihad Stadium because it feels like forever now since I last attended!

In this guy below, Not long to go until we find out our round 2 team.

agree with you PM. I think we will try to tag Dangerfield given he got 3 blow votes in both games against the pies last year. I think try is the right word given RD's speed and strength around the ground and solid marking and converting up forward.
It would be great for DeGoey to be tasked with the tagging role for his education, but I don't think he can go with D'field's leg speed. Crisp is probably the best physically equipped Pie and he has played run with roles previously.

I think dangerfield would get 57 touches and 4 goals if JDG was given the task of tagging him

I'd be bringing in Karnezis, Broomhead and Kennedy for this one. Those three add a nice amount of creativity and pace between the 3 of them and add to our scoring options.

Sidebottom is obviously out, and I'd be giving De Goey a rest along with maybe Blair. I know that won't happen, but that's how I'd do it. Nothing against De Goey at all, I love him already, but Adelaide are red hot right now and we need more mature bodies in there in combination with the pace and flair mentioned earlier.

Adelaide have a LOT of scoring options so we need to ensure we do our best to add scoring options ourselves.

Why Blair, may I ask? Played one of his best games ever last week.

No major reason. Yeah he was good last week, but he was just good by Blair standards imo. He's not consistent enough or damaging enough to warrant a spot for me. I'd rather Kennedy, Broomhead or Karnezis in the side.

I think you're right ketchup which is why I think crisp will go to him. But it would be great for JDG to oppose one of the most exciting players in the competition

Fasolo has flown under the radar here. Kicked a lovely long goal and did a couple of other nice things but largely unsighted. If we're talking about bringing Karnezis in (either for this game or down the track), should it be in his spot potentially?

Surely give him a chance to be consistent - he has played well for 100% of the games so far this year, he is on a hot streak!

In all seriousness, 2 goals (our equal highest goal scorer), 21 touches and 7 tackles is pretty good and he was Maxy's BOG - I just think it would send the wrong message to drop him now if he is fit to play.

Ed I like your work but you are way off the mark here. I agree in the long term we need one of those mentioned to take Blairy's spot but they have to earn it

Again, I did say I don't believe he'll be dropped, that's just who I'd drop. In the end, our side doesn't look any worse without him, but conversely, our side looks better with one of the other three in in my opinion.

Time to Implant the seed. I think he will add penetration to our side and I think we will go swimmingly and duplicate our wins

Is he fit enough to complete the journey?

Cloke is ok to go, doing a presser now post training;

collingwoodfc: "I lost a few kgs up there," says Cloke, who said despite feeling a little sore post-game, is fresh + ready for Adelaide this Saturday.

collingwoodfc: "My role depends on the game + the opposition," says Cloke, who played higher up the field this year. "I just do the job Bucks gives me.

collingwoodfc: "Last year was our first season together," Cloke says of @jessewhite_. "Our friendship off the field has helped build a strong connection.""

Love this;

collingwoodfc: "14 months ago I was an #AllAustralian, so write us off, that's fantastic," Cloke smiled when asked about his 2014 season #gopies
