I won't go on with this.
Here's the full quote.

There is a bit more in it that "why change a winning team". No misquote at all. The swipe at long term injured players was the bit I was interested in, and I don't think the full quote helps you. Its still harsh.

Not to mention factually wrong, as with Tex out initially we lost our first 3, and Banno was key to our first few wins this year...........but whichever way you want to put it.

BB is done.

I love the fact that you can read my mind better than me. You are amazing

Anyone got any word on both Grigg and Armfield's injuries yesterday? Both had fairly length spells on the bench but got back on the ground eventually. Will they be right for this weekend?

I'd like to see Hartlett get another crack, apparently played well for the Bullants and Teague rates him very highly, would also help our forward structure. Not sure if Walker is 100% ready to go but he could be in line, though i would rather a game or two for the Ants before he gets picked. Also it sounds like Bannister is still not right so i don't think he'll be coming in.

IN Hartlett
OUT Hampson/Wiggins

Chris heres another idiot ...so tell us why we are dropping Wiggins ?

I hate to tell you this but Wiggins is a better player than half your team ..he craps all over watson, slattery etc etc
My bad I forgot to take a good player out.. Undies wound a little tight there mate?

Man oh man there's a few people who are pretty keen to drop a bloke on the back of making one or two mistakes. Hampson's played a grand total of about 10 games - cut the dude a little bit of slack FFS. And clearly those calling for Wiggo to be dropped haven't watched the last 4 games. That goal he kicked in the last quarter against the Pies caused all of their heads to drop and it was sheer physical strength that allowed Wiggo to do it.

No changes for mine, unless they're forced as a result of injuries.

And Ricksta - have you forgotten the barrage you copped last week for posting that Russell should be dropped for the Pies game ?

No change, you don't change a winning formula.

All the players due back from injury could do with a run in the 2's.

Austin can wait, our backline was FANTASTIC on Sunday when the heat was on!!

Lucas is unfit, Lloyd is past it...so we can handle them with ease, if you think about when we played them last time, our backline was new, Judd and Stevens not match fit....now our backline is great, Judd and Stevens are firing and we have that old winning feeling and finals in our sights....Essendon have pick 1, 2 or 3 waiting!! and the Albino!!

Last time we didn't have Lucas. You should be favourites but in Carlton v Essendon games that does not always guarantee victory.

haven seen much of this austin kid so ill take your word hes been playing well in the 2's. IMO Hampson should be dropped and bring in Austin/Hartlett. I think Bentick, Grigg, Russel, Armfield, Wiggo and starting to earn there place. Feel a bit bad for browne on the weekend but he'll bulk up over the preseason and hopefully start dominating the 2s to earn selection. But yeah if austin comes in possibly throw waite for, if hartlett comes in, we should try and kick the ball to him for once and show what the kids got! Now or Never mate

Austin is the only one I would consider, but who is he needed to match up on?
As others have pointed out, we already have Thornton, Jammo, Setanta, and if required, Waite as tall defenders.

Hartlett needs to earn his spot, and run hard in the two's for a few weeks.

In the clinch games coming up we can't afford to be one man down after he does his hammy again.
Prove his fitness over 4 weeks, kick some goals, then we consider him.

I'd rather Kreuzer up forward and Hampson rucking than Kreuzer rucking with Harts up forward ATM.

No changes for mine.:thumbsu:

Probably no change but...

I wouldn't mind:
Out: Hampson
In: Hartlett

Hampson hasn't done alot wrong, he just isnt ready for this level and isn't taking marks...

I wonder how Hartlett would go having short stints in the ruck, could be good around the ground.... Test those hammies any way.
