I'd say he will be. Word was he was walking laps at training, and copped a head knock playing for East Perth on the weekend. Also said he seemed hampered by his dodgy ankle. So he will be far from his best I'd think.

He will play, no doubt, but I can't see him being anywhere near his best (which is arguably not fantastic anyway) Raining all week, clearing on friday so will be interesting to see how each team is chosen. In the past we have seemed to not change too much personel wise, when the weather is shit, not sure if Simpson will be more pro active in his player selection.

I'm a bit worried about Simpson's comments that Sinclair is "ready to go" and that he would return this week (?). He does not deserve Lycett's spot and I have no desire to see him lumbering around the backline. Hopefully Simpson means WAFL.

What else do you do though? McInnes seems to be used as a ruck for the Royals, and would be the only other competitor for a key back spot at this stage. It'd be handy if the Blayne train was in the rookie station. Admittedly he's shorter than your average key defender, but he know how to play the spot.

How tall is that Kane Lucas bloke?

I'd like to see Colledge get an extended run, he seems to be putting it together in the WAFL.

Surely College will get a game this week i mean what more do you have to do, I think college has turned the corner and could come good for us he's put alot of muscle on and looks in ripping condition, If it's at the expense of Sheed then so be it they both could play a big part of our midfield in years to come as long as we keep blooding them

Yeo was good also, and Hurn can play a bit taller if needed. I think the fact that Simpson has put all the heat on the mids, shows he sees what the biggest issue is. We were thumped in clearances and inside 50's, yet only lost by 10 points. I reckon we'll survive down back, but the middle is another story, one we have all read over and over again.

Honestly would rather lose to Carlton 60-120 than have Schofield out for the next 12+ games because he was rushed back and got injured in the first quarter (in which case we'd lose anyway).

Was good to see Simpson put the lens on the midfield but then he goes and talks about Yeo being part of how we hold the backline together...

Dare say this was the gameplan but then we mentally fall apart and resort back to old habits. This might be why Simpson is a little annoyed as he has probaly seen the players execute this over and over and then fall apart game day.

The scoreline flattered us - we were caned - they just missed a lot of sodas - if they had have got those easy goals in the third it could have ended up as a drubbing

I would be very loth to take that scire as an indicator of how the game mapped out.
