As it is a Sunday game there will be an extended interchange.

IN: Jammo Banno Pfeiffer Hartlett
OUT: Wiggins

Bench on friday to look like:
Browne Pfeiffer Hartlett Hampson O'Hailpin Armfield Grigg

I would expect Hartlett to miss.
I have O'hailpin on the bench because Rocca is out and we may be to tall if they dont include Reid or Wood.

Final Bench

Hampson Ohailpin Armfield Grigg

hard choice this week with the small collingwood forward line. maybe thornton loose?

for me though.
in - jammo
out - browne

id be more inclined to drop armfield, browne is a small faster defender, who can play on didak, davis. jammo did the job last time so id like to see him play

IN: Jamo, Pfieffer

OUT: Setanta, Browne

Jamo needs to come at the expense of another tall defender, and as rocca is out maybe setanta should get a rest. The Pies midfield is pretty shit, so it would be good to get Pfieffer in who can play browne's role down back whilst also able to get fresh legs into the midfield rotation (and we know he can kick goals too :))

out setanta? with all due respect to thornton, setanta has shown he much better form in the last few weeks. thornton looked slower yesterday, and carlos is a better spoiler, faster and more versatile. if one big defender has to go, i will be dissapointed to see irish out.

Armfield is the right guy to play on guys like didak, thomas, or even leon maybe.
we can't drop him.

Setanta doesn't deserve to be dropped, but we might because we could be too tall.

Keep in Armfield and Browne, Collingwood have a few small fowards and both of these guys can take one each. Id say ...

In:Jammo,Banno

Out:Wiggins, Sentanta

But really a tough decision on who to take out, they all deserve a spot next week. Well done to the boys.

Agree with this. Setanta possibly to be the unlucky one. Browne might also be the unlucky one if we think we can cover the small forwards with Jamo, Armfield and Thornton.

I really gotta ask why people want and continually drop Setanta.

Yesterday he beat Westhoff and Tredrea when he was covering him.

Westhoff had no impact, only kicking one goal and Setanta forced him into 4 clangers and 64% efficiency compared to Setanta of no clangers and 89% efficiency. Westhoff had more touches but all little impact on the wing.

Look back a couple of weeks back against Brisbane when he took on Johnno Brown and held his own.

Setanta has probably been one of the mroe solid consistant defenders down back and deserves his spot.

He could be a good match up for Cloke, which should release Waite either as a floater across half back or even a move forward to stretch Collingwood's defense.

The only outs i see would be Wiggins, low impact compared to previous weeks, and maybe Betts if his ankle doesn't pull up.

So my in's would be Jammo if fit or Bannister or Edwards.

i think we all agree on the majority of your post. But matchups will determine selection, and thornton has to be ahead in the pecking order along with waite. They have a very small forward line without rocca

So many idiots wanting to drop Wiggins ..ffs what does this bloke have to do to maintain his place in the side ???

Thank god none of you have any say in team selection ..because sadly you have NFI .

It's called an opinion and everyone is entitled to that, we don't live in Zimbabwe do we?? If you feel the need to berate your fellow supporters to boost your own ego then i'd suggest the Collingwood board may cater more to your needs!

Wiggins would keep his position. He's done enough at this stage. Once again until someone from the bullants are dominating I can't see him being dropped (maybe towards seasons end if/when we can't make finals)

I don't think dropping Setanta is the option. If Collingwood are lacking talls is it ideal for us. Move Waite forward or to the wing and keep setanta on Cloke.

Browne out imo, give him a rest

In: Jamison
Out: Browne

Thomas -gibbs
Didak-Carrazzo
Medhurst-Jamison
Reid / whoever plays for Rocca-Thornton
Davis-armfield
Cloke-Setanta

Really tough call this week, I doubt many will be able to predict the match ups and exclusions.

Don't go blowing my cover Thy, i've been hiding for years. It's really not that bad over here:eek:;)

Was thinking about the club's own Democratic Movement For Change the other day. I took my vote down in person to make sure it got there and got counted. Seems like a long time ago now. It was the start of the transformation that we are now starting to reap the benefits of. What joy going psycho in the car Sunday night. The woman sitting next to me thinks I'm mad. We all know I am. Who cares? Great stuff. CFC - nearly back.

Jamison is the only inclusion for mine.

Browne will probably be rested. Unlucky for him, because he's been fantastic, but a rest, and a couple of games in the Ants, will do him the world of good. He'll be back though :thumbsu:

I wouldn't rush Bannister in, he's important to us and there's no use rushing him back in only to risk him injuring himself again. Be on the cautious side of things and wait until he's ready to return.

Wiggins should not be dropped. He provides a fantastic option up forward, is a great grab for his size. When Fev is being blanketet, we often see Wiggins the one that steps up and provides a strong marking option around the 50. He'll stay in.

Don't get too excited, about gibbs.that suibb was playing on an injured Cornes. Thomas should account for squibby gibbs. Your problem this week is to counter not one or two attacking players but 13.Collingwood will be without Rocca and maybe Clokey, but the game plan malthouse is developing is that we are not reliant on one or two or three players to kick goals we are developing an entire team that shares the goal kicking.
over the past few weeks we have had over 13 players share the goal kicking.Against melbourne, our goal kicking was shared by didak, thomas, davis, cloke, wellingham, burns, obree, lockyer, medhurst and we will have pendlebury back plus our backmen kicked goals, brown, shaw and obrien chipped in.This week hopefully reid to play and dawes to debut.
We are not the same team you guys met,8 weeks ago.Collingwood are starting to put the pedal down, and sure we played average footy against the dees, just doing enough to get the win.We are saving ourselves to give you guys a shallacking of the highest proportions this week.
Even judd won't save you, this time around.

So when you say that against Melbourne you shared the goals around, Cloke included, do you mean sharing as in Cloke shared in the excitement as he watched someone else kick the goal? 'Cause he sure didn't kick one himself! And Burns and O'bree, they shared in the excitement too as they sipped from their water bottles as someone else kicked a goal? Didn't see them on the goal kickers list either.

Aren't you a fountain of football knowledge.
