I'd normally say (and have done so recently) that there'd be no point in dropping Rockliff as he'll learn nothing in the SANFL and if anything it'll take away from him finding his spot in the AFL side. But one touch in the last half is deplorable.

Houston was laughable today. I guess it's gonna happen to a young player some times, but I was SMFH.
What position was he playing? 6th medium defender?

Happens every ****ing year that we overload our team with defenders. They all lose form and our structures falter.

I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that the coaches don’t have the option to bring in Paul Stewart or O’Shea.

Selection by selection:

Out: Rockliff, In: Atley. I was prepared to cut Rocky some slack in rounds 1 and 2, but it's time to get his mind/body right at Sanfl level first. He's a liability at the moment.

Out: Houston, In: Pittard. Houston looks shot at the moment, and is slow. Pittard can offer more run and creativity.

Out: McKenzie, In: Hayes or Frampton. McKenzie was slow and didn't offer anything offensively. We can afford to lose a HBF. What we gain by having a proper ruck is allowing Dixon, Hoff and Howard to play their natural roles.

Out: Amon, In: Barry. Barry is quicker, and better defensively.

Polec on thin ice. Offers nothing defensively. Neade would be tempting for his forward pressure, but will only work if we play a proper forward structure. SPP can play Sanfl for a bit - he wasn't in good form anyway.

Houston is a depth player, Pittard comes in for him. Dan lacks that extra split second of speed which is enough to expose you in the AFL.

We need a recognised ruckman next week!

Ken will never swing the axe, so no point doing more than 3 changes. Even 3 would be pushing Ken's 'I'll back the boys to bounce back' default reaction to a loss.

Outs: Houston, Clurey, McKenzie. We had one too many defenders bringing in McKenzie anyway.

Ins: Hombsch, SPP, Hayes. Bassett said Hayes would waste too many rotations, but we only used 75 of 90, so that's a crock of shit excuse.

Honestly, just bring in a ****ing ruckman. The non-ruck selection is killing our structures everywhere. Sure Frampton or Hayes may not do more than Dixon (when Ken finally lets him ruck), but at least we won't be sacrificing either our forward or backline to boot.

Hopefully Marshall’s OK, but if not we have to bring in one of the rucks for him. I could live with replacing Ryder with a small as we had a fairly tall side to begin with in Round 1, but if we go another tall down then it needs to be a tall coming in to replace him.

I'm pretty sure I heard Ken say a week ago or so that you'll probably lose one somewhere due to the ruck scenario we have, almost like he accepted it and was simply expecting a loss... so we have had the loss, bet Frampton plays.

Probably the changes I'd make. Clurey been fine the first 3 weeks but needs a spell after today. McKenzie lucky to stay in.

Pittard and SPP seem obvious. Atley probably unlucky - but if he keeps his form up in the SANFL he won't be far off getting games.

Frampton in for Marshall is probably the only way I'd be ok with seeing him come in to the side. Probably would rather see Marshall keep his spot, however.

Have a feeling that if Marshall misses,

Ken will have Dixon and Watts up forward, Howard rucking (with Hoff backing up, then ruck Dixon when it's too late), and Jonas, Clurey and Hombsch down back.

Out: Houston, Clurey, McKenzie, Rockliff, Amon

In: Pittard, Hombsch, Hampton/Hayes, SPP, Thomas
