Yes, but that was on March 1st, so there's almost a four week gap between that game and the one this Friday.

I think big Charlie is a terrific prospect, but consider it would be quite a risk throwing him in this week, when he might be underdone. And I don't see why there's such a hurry anyway! We do need our tall forwards to do a lot more than what they've done so far this year, but it's not like we're sitting at the bottom of the ladder! We're reasonably placed, and have a very 'winnable' game this week, against a team that will be without it's two best key defenders. If Buller and co. struggle again, while West stars in the VFL (if he does play at that level), maybe then they could think about making a change.

Not until Buller and the current setup has had time to gel IMO.
We’ve played 2 games, so there’s plenty of time to rotate kids later in the season.

We said the same thing all last year. At some stage we need to have a look , even if only a few at a time

At Moment West could not be much Worse

I'm very happy for big Charlie to get his chance at senior level quite soon once he does well at VFL level in 2026 (if the key forwards currently in the senior team are still struggling), but wouldn't rush him into the side this week. Unlike the likes of Cochran and Steene (other names that keep getting thrown up for selection early on this year) he has at least proven he is a star at the lower level.

I think they'll play him in the earlier game on Friday anyway, but if they did gamble and play him in the evening game and he struggled then what would they do - concede that he was underdone and drop him back to the seconds for a few weeks to find some form?! I think it's a more logical move to let him play well in the Reserves and then promote him (but hope that Buller and co. lift in the meantime).
