For a team thats supposed to be developing our ins and outs are very bland.Im not talking about if Dennis should stay or go but one things for sure any other coach would at least give the supporters something,eg:Bower this week and Hartlett next.

Really happy that Setanta has been left in. With next year in mind I would try alternating both Setanta and Bannister at fullback and leave Thornton across half back. Would also have preffered McGrath to have gone. Not that he doesn't give his all just that I don't think he is a long term prospect.

We desperatly need someone to fill fb long term. If Bannister bulked up does anyone think he could hold it down? I think he is 190 cm and certainly has the pace. If he could pull it off then Setanta and Thornton could be creative running half backs hopefully along with Bower.

pagan and carlton need to do what's best for the kids development, not what is going to give the supporters something

yeah its been a horrible year but if we don't develop our kids in the right way then we are going to have many more horrible years

The selection of Lappin is a logical one, I hope he plays on the HBF as I think he is fantastic in this role.
Glad to see Carlos retained for another week, I just hope his hip is ok.
Praying to the football gods that Walker plays in the middle, I think last week he showed a glimpse of what is to come next year.

Bower will need to perform this week aswell, I personally won't mind if he spends the rest of the season in the Bullants with Kennedy. I think it will be good for their long term developement to let them play in a winning environment. There big kids that could do with a another good preseason and a bit more time.

I would say giving young fellows a taste in the last few rounds of another horrible year covers both development and giving fans something to look forward to at the weekend

It could be a bad sign for Bannister getting dropped at this stage of the year. Is he contracted for next year?

I reckon he's been ok for us since coming back. At least he's trying to give some run out of defence.

I think Denis knows that the best way to give Carlton supporters a bit of cheer is to ensure that Essendon get the Spoon.

He's picking the team he feels will win us enough to get to and stay 15th, I think he'll balance the blooding of youth till the end of the year by rotating the less experienced kids b/n seniors and bullants.

I do not want to get the spoon again... I'll feel like we've achieved something in the last 5 rounds if we get our butts off the bottom.
