Thats about equivalent to our basic home GA membership. So triple the cost is almost on the money.

I was always a H&A member prior to this year. Im in the medallions or corporate boxes whenever I go but I always give the membership a little scan on the way in to pump the numbers up. Never been a PC member, maybe if they start becoming something that resembles a football team I might consider in the future

True but to clarify I meant a week or two in a row. Most if not all of those players I was referring to have had some good to serviceable games in between some poor performances

Look that's where it becomes a bit more sketchy I reckon.

Consistently inconsistent is as big a problem as anything.

I doubt Clarkson drops Chom or Log this year. He wants games into his backline. He may have given up on Pink and Carr and might just pump games into the other two.

Logue and Chom are currently our best options in key back space. I know people dislike Logue but your choice is Corr, Pink or him. We obviously need to address that problem but ain’t gonna solve it in Perth and seems we are trying to address it this offseason.

There is a feeling to move LMAC but Goater needs more time and continuity for his body, Riley injured, Archer out. Struggle for the backline is real.

Curious if we see Matlock, George or alike get opportunities in the back half of the year

Our back line is crap, but this is as good as it gets.

If they get too much pressure against them, they will fold every single time.

There isn't a single statistic that backs that statement up.

And just from watching the footy, that's also just objectively false. Pink has his limitations but he is also the KPD who gets caught out of position the least and gets beaten by his direct opponent the least.

Also, I've never seen Pink smiling and laughing after a loss.

Zurhaar, Larkey, Logue, McDonald, Spargo and Stephens continue to escape scrutiny.

Selection integrity is an orphan at the NMFC unfortunately.

I don’t think Stephens deserves to be included here. In many ways, he has had a breakout season this year. Having said that, he is a “cherry on top” type of player. He requires our structure to hold up in order to thrive. Our structure has broken down completely against Adelaide and Freo. Larkey has gone into his shell and definitely needs to lift. He’s a shadow of the player that he used to be, right now - for whatever reason. I was really impressed with his leadership earlier in the season. However, he seems to have completely rested on his laurels.

Dom Bedendo kicked 5 on Pink a few weeks back and was best on ground against our 2s

Then at some point in the next 6 weeks we’re going to drop games we should win because senior players know it doesn’t really matter how poorly they play they can just front up again the following week.

Clarko said in that debut clip that the team needed not just Goad’s energy but the energy of him and others (I guess Harvey) who really have to work for their senior spots. As it’s a foreign concept for most of the team that embarrassed themselves last week, I guess it’s worth a try to remind them what the jumper is worth.

The biggest red flag for an AFL footballer is the one who cannot self-motivate when they cross the white line.

Proper alarm bells going off as these types will never end up being successful in this competition.


I think we know by now which players bring the effort and contest each week, regardless of opponent.
But performances like last week speak to a bigger problem IMO in that our inconsistent form from quarter to quarter, let alone week to week, is due to the team not all gelling and functioning as one unit.

This root problem goes back to drafting and recruitment, so Clarko can only select from the list he has has been given and I expect the conundrum we have is a quality of personnel issue when it comes to selection. Its why Daniel and Logue and McDonald get picked each week.
