Channel 10 Coverage = Poor

If this is what we have to look forward to for the next 4 years....

Channel 7's coverage wasnt too flashy when they finished up if my memory serves me correctly.

and just watching the collingwood vs sydney game;

• too many commercials
• Poor camera angles (close up shot when we need to see more what is going on around the field)

Honestly, all eddie hate aside, dont you think channel 9 does a better job with their coverage?

I agree. As much as I hate Ed and what they have done to coverage here in Sydney, they really do professionally package the game much better than 7 or 10. Ch 10 seem to have 3 cameras in total at the ground. The commentators is another topic......

Yes commentary was also the point i missed. Whilst they may have SOME valid points, they are nothing short of boring. Whilst it is a boring game (save that for another topic), They just don't do anything to liven it up.

Tuned into triple M and found the game much more interesting listening to them. Unfortunately it is about a second or 2 ahead of the tv coverage so it isnt very plausible listening for long periods..

I'm not looking forward to 7 & 10 having the rights. Without 9 there to raise the standard 10 are going to be even worse than they are now.

Yeah, it isn't great and with the footy going to 7 it's only going to get worse - they don't even have decent high definition digital coverage, so it'll certainly look worse to start with.

The commentary tonight was shocking. You would have thought the Pies were last on the ladder without a win. FFs we were above them on the ladder and had been playing good footy until our last game.

All they could do was tug over Sydney, but then again we all know how much the Pies doing well burns in Lanes Carlton loving gut. Walls is consistenly bad and I can live with that, but Lane goes to a new level of bias when he calls Pie games.

Gotta agree with this,but with his entry into the hall of fame he is just going to get worse as his already over inflated head will be bigger.

As has been mentioned on another thread, the rights deal gives Fox 3 exclusive games per round. Perth got four games on FTA last weekend, and so only one could be shown this weekend.
As Ten had already shown their allotted two games last week in Perth, it was Ten's game this week that went to Fox.

I'm hoping that when 7,10 and Fox come to an agreement there are no mandated Fox exclusive games (there is scope for more FTA games on long weekends, late night replays, etc; when 7 had the rights they sometimes got 6 or even - very rarely - 7 games on FTA on a weekend); but all the signs are there will be four.
