Roast Channel 7 Commentary

Channel 7's biggest crime (as well as having BT, Basil and Hamish on their books) is not broadcasting in HD. Surely given the analogue network has been switched off now, having HD will be a mandatory part of the next broadcast rights. Amazing how the recent grand finals look worse than the ones in late 2000s which One used to broadcast in HD....

This! If Channel 7 can broadcast the GAA games (both football and hurling) in HD (albeit they're just patching into Sky Sports/RTE's feed), then surely they can broadcast the AFL in HD.

It was Chapellis inability to not know when he was on air and break out into profanity that made him interesting. He made my night one ashes call in the 90s in England, I had just gone through the story of how Chapelli got three weeks off air for swearing some years beforehand t my housemates and they crossed to him from the broadcast area and like magic, he once again swore like a drill seargant at the producer before quickly going " and welcome back to Lords, the home of cricket"

He got another two weeks for that, which was ridiculous, it's was 12.30am ffs.

Oh man that would have been priceless. How come I can't remember anything like this? Chappell is always so dour these days.
