Ok, so this is more for the people out there with Foxtel.

Recently I was house sitting for a friend and I watched a lot of their Foxtel, mostly Channel V and found that despite their penchant for playing the same music over and over and freakin over their hosts and in particular 'Yumi' for frickin annoying as!!

What is with her??? One moment the channel is howing footage from the 2005ARIAS where she's shaking hands with Australian Idols and the next moment she has her own show on the same channel stating that the most annoying people on radio and tv are the same people who's asses she was blowing smoke into.

Don't get me wrong here, I have no love for the Australian idols whatsoever but please, don't get on tele and pretend to be someone you're not.
That's for a Hasselhoff, TODAY host or Neighbours actor to do.

All I can say is 'Yumi, you are a sell out and a poser, everything you claim not to be.'

Channel V has lost lots of respect from me.

Music Max has it covered with regards to playing decent music.

Hot or not, rate my tunes and bogan presenters are just some of the things that turned me off channel v.

I mean some shows are just for mid teens.

I have stopped watching channel V, as the music is usually all sh1t and the hosts are all ghey f@gs who work for channel 10 or lame ugly moles.
But I do agree with Fwoy, Jabba was a legend.

I remember when they ran that 'search for a VJ' thing and James Matheson and Yumi won it.

Funny thing was seeing that Jess slappa from Big Brother also made it into the final 10, and probably a few other failed reality tv stars.

But there was one dude out of them who was actually pretty funny (I think he also nailed both Jess and Yumi during their week stay in Sydney - top bloke) but they couldn't keep him because James Matheson was Andrew G's sex puppet and they needed a girl so they took Yumi over Jess.

One tihng I'll say in defence of Yumi, she isn't Jess.

Whatever happened to Paula McGrath, Alle Brunning and Leah McLeod? (doesn't the latter do some Big Brother tripe on ch10?)
Leah McLeod hosted the House of Hits or hithouse or something like that, with Molly Meldrum a couple of years back.

The only way to watch V now is after midnight when there is no egos on screen, but even that is hard these days... Music TV sucks so much. I used to love watching filmclips, and taped Rage every week for new clips on Friday night and guest programming/specials on Saturday. Even thought programming Rage would be an awesome job. These days, I can barely watch any of it for more than 10 minutes. Too may w*nkers

Agree that Max TV is better. I don't actually get Channel V as it is an extra but got it one month and thought Max was definitely better. I love Loving the 80s and Loving the 90s on Max TV.

It's called MusicMax not Max TV..

Just got thru trying to watch some of the abomination called the Big Day In at points during the weekend. I remember when they used to show a decent amount of the bands sets as well as structured interviews. Now all I see is 1 song snippets filled with monotonous levels of VJs trying to show how cool and innovative they are, walking thru the crowd and trying to find "weird" people. FFS, give me a break!

Not to mention with the digital broadcast, getting feeds of backstage crap where it's a jerky handheld camera spinning around causing sea-sickness, and crappy mics that leave me wishing I could lipread, if they left the facking camera still for long enough.

The vault was kinda ok, albeit totally self-indulgent as far as VJs bignoting themselves go (Jabba excluded, he was good).

To top it off, it was out of sync half the bleeding time.

And if anyone could watch the footage of Iggy Pop and not suffer epileptic fits, hats off to ya. Stop changing camera angles every 3 seconds!

Steve. ********en Steve. Who decided he was a good idea? I would like to stab him in the face with a broken VB longneck. He is perhaps the worst human being to ever live.

I reckon Yumi is hot. I would happily punch her in the face though. Perhaps incorporating this with a sexual act. I haven't yet decided.

I hate them and their famillies.

Why can't people that I have my dream job at least be better than I would be in the same position? It wouldn't be so annoying then.
