I love it when sports stars wear their heart on their sleeve and speak their mind, however am skeptical when its one from your own team. Hence, the dilemna, Fevola is the perfect example, what he said about the Bulldogs playing non-accountable football I would have loved if he wasn't a Carlton player. Another was when he said that Chad Cornes should put his head over the ball.

Footballers have long memories, I don't thing the Bulldogs or Port are going to forget those comments in a hurry. I am positive that the next time we play Port they will get up a bit extra and even more so the Bulldogs, Eade will pump it into his players, I already have doggy supporters hanging to play Carlton in the finals, the old saying goes something like, 'never give a sucker an even break'. Sometimes teams are flat, hence don't give them motivation to get up.

Fev I believe should keep his mouth shut a bit more and worry about CFC, afterall the doggies have only lost 3 games. Other guys like Warne, Aker etc. who speak their mind have the score on the board, yes the Blues with Fev will do so soon, but until then I would be suggesting that Fev not give any extra motivation to opposition teams in knocking off the blues, yes its good to be arrogant but only when you have earnt it.

What he says is right. When the dogs don't kick a 100+ score they lose. They play much like we did last year. It's effective to a degree, but if your backline can't hold it you get thumped, ala Carlton under Pagan.

I Always get shitty with Fevola, only because I expect so much from him because when he gets involved in the game the whole side lifts! I love the bloke, I don't care what he does off the field the bloke does all he can on the field.

I reckon I've been caught taking a piss in an ally in the city, and guess what.. no one cared because they couldn't make a buck selling that story! The guys only human.

A throw away comment made by one player does not provide motivational fuel for a whole team. Simple as that.

The media, on the other hand, will blow it up into something special, but the Bulldogs players and coaches won't be using it to go a bit harder against us.

Let me just ask, what you meant to say was I wish a player from another club had said that, right? Because it reads like you dont want Fev.
