Key there is Robinson's attorneys trying to drag the Sheriff's Office in for weight in their filings.

I'm not sure the Sheriff's Office actually has much pull on the issue of cameras through the proceedings.

My understanding is that the court appointed Robinson's lead defence attorney after the Utah County Commission unanimously approved the contract on independent advice.

Kathryn Nester is the lead defence attorney but there's at least two other very experienced lawyers on his team.

A bit off topic, but what do people think the reasoning is behind the hate for Greta Thunberg?
In terms of why we feel Owen's, Kirk etc are targeted for their position on Israel.

I went back and had a look, she's referring to Greg Skoras who is an expert on constitutional law, a former prosecutor and veteran criminal defense attorney who ran for the office of Attorney General in 2020. He didn't run in 2024 and I can't find anything to suggest he will in the future.

This seems fair.

At this stage, I can't see any conspiracy here.

Robinson's got at least three high profile attorneys on his team and by the time his trial is over, will probably have had a dozen more involved, so that's a lot of eyes.

There seems to be three main competing theories.

Tyler Robinson was a lone wolf assassin. His motivation was retribution for Kirk's anti-trans statements. He climbed on a roof and got lucky with a single shot from a borrowed rifle. He incriminated himself with a series of social media posts. He has not confessed or cooperated with law enforcement. The Utah County Commission has appointed him with defense counsel.

Kirk was killed by agents of Israel and Robinson is their patsy. The motivation was retribution for Kirk's statements criticising Israel. There doesn't seem to be much evidence in support of this theory - it's more about highlighting holes in the official narrative and associating that with the events between Kirk and powerful Israeli power brokers in the time before he was killed. Candace Owens has covered this.

Kirk is not really dead. The assassination was staged. The motivation for the fake assassination was to boost promotion for Turning Point and conservative views. There's some blurry images around the incident but again it's more about highlighting anomalies in evidence from the official narrative. Kirk's close team and his widow are in on the swindle.
