no, but I do know they are a group of sore losers, after a grand final they resorted to using their fists against a few fans of the winning team

Was I asking you dickhead? No I wasn't. At least we've made a grand final in the last ten years. Whereas you have to head back into the 80's and even then you lost more than you actually won.

We've probably got more in our cheersquad than you have in your entire supporter base.
Go and get a cheersquad then come back with something intelligent to say dickhead.

Blues_Girl, I think you need to relax a bit. You can't compare Sturt's record to Glenelg's record in the last 20 years, It doesn't even come close. How many years did Sturt end last in that period?. Also Glenelg played in 2 GF in the 90s to Sturt's 1. Glenelg's 2 & Sturt's 1 GF in the 90's were against Port, So neither side were ever a chance to win those GFs against the mighty Maggies.

Blues Girl!

A little bit fiesty aren't we?

So you want to know if someone knows anyone who is part of the Sturt Cheersquad. I wasn't aware you guys had one.

In the Port v Sturt grandfinal of 1998 I remember a lot of people just jumping on the Sturt bandwagon, is this what you call the Sturt Cheersquad?

Most of the Sturt supporters were wearing duffle coats with players like Rick Davies and Paul Bagshaw's names on the back, quite obviously showing they haven't turned up to a game for a long time and not knowing any of the Sturt teams names in the budget.

yeah heard that report from the 98 GF from some Port friends of mine. It's funny how the Sturt 'hardmen' never travel to Elizabeth Oval, and didn't seem too eager to provoke a clash when the Centrals End to Enders stood behind them at Unley. Couldn't hear a peep out of them.

Oh ha ha ****in har. Where do I start with you w***ers.

First of all i'd rather see my supporters dressed in a classy crows top rather than a feral power top.

Never travelled to Elizabeth?? Bullshit I know for a fact most of the regular cheersquad members travel all over to watch Sturt no matter where they are playing.

Anyway the only reason I bloody asked was I need to get in touch with someone about the century game against Norwood. So all you little w***ers go back to your holes.

Blues Girl!

I am quite happy to be called a feral.

I would rather that than being called a cretin as you Crows and Sturt supporters are.

Why don't you look up the word feral before you start slagging us supporters, infact I will put the meaning below.

Feral - wild or existing in a state of nature.

Cretin - One suffering from cretinism; a deformed idiot; abnormal physical and mental development; a form of idiocy.

See there is nothing wrong with being a feral, so pissoff you cretin!

PS - By your comments about what people were wearing for the 1998 Grandfinal I take it you were wearing a Crows top.

Actually no feral boy, 1998 grand final i was wearing my sturt guernesy with pride as i do every week. I cant stand people who wear afl gear to sanfl matches, NO MATTER WHICH TEAM!

Blues Girl!

or should that be Cretin Girl?

Anyway it appears that we might actually agree on something which is a little scary.

I also don't like people turning up with their AFL gear to SANFL matches. I think it just shows people with an inferior complex, people that need something else to hang onto when their side is not doing so well.

All AFL gear should be banned from SANFL games.

Im glad to hear that you were wearing your Sturt gear and I trust you were not one of those with a Paul Bagshaw, Rick Davies or someone else from that era's duffle coat.

i'm very scared! I think there is nothing worse than afl gear at sanfl footy. I think it shows a lack of disrespect to both sides that are playing. I first come to realise this when the power joined the afl and saw the lack of disrespect it was giving to the port magpies players.

No I don't have a duffle coat! I think they look absolutely feral! I do have a certain degree of footy style!

Both are equally as nasty, and should be avoided at all costs.

absolute shite....I have only ever seen Sturts cheersquad at Elizabeth once, in 98. With that bloody pathetic 'Carmen the Blues' banner. As for the other years, nope, I don't count 3 people standing together waving flags as a cheersquad. Anyway who cares? Cheersquads are for pathetic middle aged ******s or low IQers anyhow. As said before; Exhibit A: Westies

IMHO wearing any club colours to a football match is childish and immature. Why wear a club guernsey at age 25 or 26?

Childish and immature?

That is one of the most ridiculous comments I've heard on here.

Most people actually DO want it to be known which team they support, and wear their colours with pride. Are you embarassed or something?

scott, you are so right ! I saw heaps of those old duffle coat things at that grand final, the eveidence is all there.
and even though I am a glenelg fan the power are better than the ****y crows anyday ! At least they have true football fans unlike the chardonnay of west lakes ! what a joke !

Well i'm sorry but what kinda supporter are you if you aren't proud to wear your club colours and be associated with your club.

I've worn my club colours for the past 20 years and i'm not going to stop now. I will continue to wear them until they bury me six foot under....even then I will be dressed in double blue!

Did you ever go to school?. Or is english your second language?. Have you ever understood the concept of using capital letters where required. Also Alberton inbred is that a place or did you mean to write, go back to Alberton, inbred. That little comma (,) means so much.

I think you have proven by your replies at what level your intellegence is, so you can abuse me all you like because when it come down to it, I think you are a joke.

On what grounds are the Power better than the Crows? If you're going to make a statement, please, make it intelligent, and back it up in some way?

True football fans? When was Port's last sell out crowd? The Crows constantly fill Football Park, so don't talk bullshit about "true fans".

And as for the fable that "Port supporters never leave games early", that is an absolute crock. I have been to several Power games, and if they're losing, a fair percentage of an already shocking crowd has left by the final siren.

Please - get your facts straight.
