G'day, I realise I am in dangerous territory here but I was just wondering what Carlton Supporters think of Chris Bryan.

He's a **@#%$**&^!!!! ;)

Lol.

Um.. He's ok. If he can grow another 6cm you'll have a good player. Otherwise, he's a good kick-in specialist. He plays the same position as Cameron Cloke.
...?
...?
.. Exactly. :(

I liked Bryan. This might be because of my love for watching the big men of the game but Bryan really impressed me in his time at the Blues. He was very good in the VFL, a very good VFL player and a player who our ruck coach, Gary Dempsey rated highly as he was a very talented player with potencial. Bryan, at 197cm and 100kg, plays like a rover, as he is very athletic and his agility, endurance and big leap holds him in very good stead as a very good player. I still think he should've played 15 + games this year but he didn't.

It really peeves me off to let a guy of his calibre go, as we have a shortege of ruckmen on our list - I mean, they lost Deluca retirement and they got rid of Batson which really shocked me. I mean, I don't think McLaren is any good. I think he'll be gone by the end of next year, that is, if he doesn't light the footy world on fire which I'm counting on. Plus, he has had back problems and injuries but is very good at VFL level.

But now with him gone, we have replaced him with others. We now have ruckmen in Ackland, McLaren, Hampson, C.Cloke, Jacobs and A.O'hAilpin. Cloke is more of a forward/ruckman but he can pitch hit in the ruck and is a pretty reliable kick for goal.

Good luck at the Pies Bryan!! He'll be a good player for you guys.

Certainly has some skill, but I'm just not sure where he will settle as a player. Not sure he is technically minded enough to play in the ruck, and can't imagine he's mobile enough to play KPP.

Play him as a second ruckman to Fraser or rest him in the forward pocket would be my advice.

Big player who can use his body, not a good ruck, great kick, not overly smart, nothing special, but adds depth.

He couldn't get game time with us. He will shine for Collingwood in the forward line. Big body, big grabs, long kick. He'll kick at least 30 for you guys next season.

You have gained a player who wasn't settled at carlton, couldn't find a spot on teh park, and he will really step up for Collingwood.

Good on you for giving him a go, i dont think he'll be too much of a mistake.

ALl the best to him, shame he couldn't succeed at Carlton.

He is a dud... if you cant get a game infront of French and Mclaren you arent much chop...
Will be playing with Williamstown next year...

I still think Malthouse seems to like duds :p

Nah, in all seriousness, i think he will play for Collingwood next year, not reserves, and he will play in the forward line.

The reason he didn't get ahead of McLaren and French was because he didn't want to - shocking attitude, and rubbed the Club up the wrong way.

He'll do well at collingwood. I just hope it's not against us!

Fair point AWG, as they have no tarrant he might squeeze into their average forward line...

Bryan seemed O.K. around the ground - mobility, kicking, marking etc. But unfortunately couldn't get his hand on the pill in the ruck - thats his prime job.
