I was really looking forward in seeing chris egan establish himself as a top footballer this year but seems to have fallen away.Is it just a case of 2nd year blues or should we be worried that he just isnt up to it.Mick did say he was the most exciting player to join the club for 6 years.I would love to see him fulfill that excitement

maybe when he learns to tackle and attack the ball he might be good

do u remember his first game v richmond. he was chasing down players like a mad man.

but you simply can't expect every player to be a dale thomas and jump straight into being a top player.

some take longer than others, patience is a virtue, mick has tons of it, ryan lonie is the perfect example that micks ability to develop a players game is first class.

Egan has got that touch of brilliance about him, but he looks soft and disinterested at times. I think he may have a hidden anger problem, but that is yet to be confirmed.

Whatever happens, just take into account that he may be suffering from the "second year blues".

ATM I am not convinced though. My final thoughts are, I need more time before I make a clear cut judgement.

He's far from a finished product but I've seen him play some slashing games for the Bushrangers and he took over last years Willi /Box Hill match when it needed to be won. There was a big crowd on hand at that game and I'm sure those who saw the display came away impressed. All good things take time and I'm not worried about him.

PS He hasn't gone backwards, its just that its harder to get a game when we have a full list to choose from, the 4-1 start is proof of that.

SUPER DUD!

Funny how people were saying he was better than Davis after his first 3 games for us :D

Have fun in the reserves you arrogant prick.

how has his form been for willi so far this year?

i'm guessing not great seeing he hasn't even been mentioned in the possible ins and outs each week.

way too harsh to write him off yet though. a player that shows the potential that he showed last year has to be given some time.

Second year blues. He'll get better.
Exactly.
Travis Cloke is also suffering from this IMO. However he is able to get away with it since he is the 3rd tall and taking the 3rd best key defender, he is still an important part to the team structure.

going along slowly at the minute

he adds to our depth tho!!

Cara, Wakelin, C.Cloke, J.Cloke, Ego, Rowe, R.Shaw these blokes were regulars last year!!

still very early in his career
