What a fantastic year and what a fantastic player!

ahead and shoulders above all others in the AFL with exclusion of his Equal, Gary Ablett jnr!

MVP, Best Captain and Brownlow. Sensational!

We've been hearing for 12 months now how the Brownlow means nothing these days and it's all about the MVP - so let's see the haters be hatin' now.

He's had a great year, has had to beat superstars like Pendle, Goodes & Ablett on the way to this years award which I think shows just how good a year he has had.

But this award means very little unless there's a premiership along with it.

Judd crowned champ
Judd streeted the field, winning the award with 1347 votes, followed by Collingwood's Scott Pendlebury (456 votes) and Gary Ablett (389 votes).

Judd added to his bulging trophy cabinet by being voted as the best captain of 2011.

Other winners from the awards, which were held at the Crown's Palladium Room included Essendon's Dyson Heppell, who followed up on last week's NAB AFL Rising Star Award by winning the GNC LiveWell Best First Year Player Award and Brisbane Lions skipper Jonathan Brown who was awarded the Robert Rose Most Courageous Player Award for the third time (having won in 2007 and 2008).

Henry Slattery received the Open Universities Australia Education and Training Excellence Award, which celebrates a players' success in juggling football and study commitments.
