Looked a great prospect preseason,

How many more games do you expect he play in 06 ?

DT related :p

Cheers...

chris knights is going to be a great player for us in time.. at the moment tho with our depth even with our injuries he is stuggling to hold a spot in the team.. not that hes playing bad but he simply isnt getting enough game time so therefore has the occasional stint in the sanfl to get a full game under his belt. i think he will play 10-13 games this year

what you wanna hear - if he was given a full game every week he would rake in the points for dreamteam but hes not so go for another young gun in a crapper side getting full games and lots of points i.e - murphy, thomas, symes

true true

have you noticed for quite soem time we have not had many or any rising star nominations. I believe this is because we ease our youngsters into the team rather than burning them out. Without a showdow of a doubt this strategy will leave the club better off in the long run.

It would be interesting to look at the genuine premiership contenders over the last few years. I'm sure they wouldn't have had too many rising star nominations. Good teams, or rather teams who are genuine premiership contenders, bring in their kids to play bit parts behind the teams veterans while they are still learning the ropes. It's not until their bodies and game have developed do they then become major players in the teams structure. By then they are normally too old to qualify for a NRS.

I'll put money on that a high proportion of NRS winners come from teams that are in a rebuild stage where the youngsters development has to be fast tracked and he therefore sees more game time.
