Is it just about the worst program on the air? I seriously miss Rowie on a Sunday Morning. Bone just ruins it. He comes on and moans or whines about something. He is a sorry excuse for a radio personality. Why do we have to put up with him? I would have rathered Leif and Josh Dry. That would have been a much better option.

Mcdermott never seems to take any time off either. If he isn't on in the morning his filling in for drive, if he isn't filling in for drive he is doing mornings. He is horrible.

Why does fiveaa continue to employ him?

Same could be said for his work in the Sunday Mail. He states the obvious in just about every article, and when he can't be bothered writing a proper article he does one of those stupid match reviews where he just rates each player out of ten and writes one sentence on each.

I'm so glad he doesn't do special comments any more. He might know the SA players better than others but he's just irritating and doesn't sound very intelligent at all.

Well said. I honestly think as soon as he sees someone do one good play he immediately becomes a fan. They do something bad and he'll always think they're no good, you better make a good first impression for Bone! He loves making outlandish comments about players when he wouldn't have a clue. He has absolutely no idea.

I think the thing that bothers me the most with McDermott is that, when he actually tries hard, he can be a good and insightful special comments man, but he seems to spend most of the time just phoning it in, with his "catchphrases" and shoot-from-the-hip sweeping indictments.

Didn't hear him much on the Ch10 coverage last year, compared to previous years. Actually, I can't think of any occasion where he did comments on TV last year.
