Thought it would be appropriate to have a thread where Geelong posters can post their condolences and support for our senior coach during a tradgic time.

Wish both Chris and Brad and his whole family all the best during such a tough time. Hopefully the club gives him all the due respected time off and support he needs.

A reminder to keep it very classy and respectful.

This thread is for respect to the family.

There will be zero tolerance for anything else.

I just realised that this happened on the 17th last week. As posted on the north Melbourne board.

I feel this is quite embarrassing that the whole time we had a bickering thread with posting beating the crap out of him and not a single mention of it. Posters would have come on here to post their respects as the north board was getting and thought oh never mind... And the north board has a lot less to be grateful for with their coach.

Maybe we can remove everything going back to The 17th in that thread when it was reported as it is quite an ugly reflection of our board. Just a suggestion.

I have a nut allergy and am also forgetful sometimes to have the epipen with me or in easy reach. This is so sad and such a silly thing to happen. My thoughts are with the Scotts at this time.

Those of you whom are self centered enough to miss the point:

I'll state it again.

Leave your respect to the Scott family here.

Leave everything else, including your self righteous bullshit out of it.

And dont crack the shits about your posts disappearing.

So sad.

I can relate. My brother died this year as well, so I can empathise how they must be feeling losing a brother.

Hope that the Scott family get many people around them to support them, as well as the support from the Geelong and North Melbourne Football Clubs.

Sorry to hear that GTOA.

A truly shocking time when a love one passes.... sympathies to Chris and family

Cats chief executive Brian Cook said the 2011 premiership coach had the club’s blessing to take all the time he needed before coming back.

“We’re expecting him to probably pop in a few times before Christmas but there is no requirement for him to do that,” Cook said.

“We’ve left that with him. If he comes back before Christmas, that’s great ... but my understanding is we may not see him until after Christmas.”
