Hope he stays or goes to another club don't want him going to shitmond what a disgrace of a team.

I didn't see much of the Tigers game yesterday. Is their disappointing performance going to make them keener on a Yarran type or try to recruit a gun mid in the draft?
I reckon they'll go experience over a kid.

SOS, "Unlucky Dimma, now let's talk Yarran. We want your first."

Just from a Tiger supporters view, I would say 'Less interested in Yarran'

Parts of the Richmond game that really broke down were
1. Our inside ball winning ability
2. Our Defence was found out against the 3rd tall which Jake Batchelor had to play on (j.waite) Because Chaplin being 30 doesnt have the ability to play on a KPF and just does the loose man role.

I would say our priorities would be another inside mid ( Danger/Treloar) & Kpd (carlisle) and if 1st Round selection were to be traded for a small foward then Bennell would be the ideal player with his ability to also play 'some inside' compared to Yarran who is strictly outside flanker type

Our outside runners in Ellis,Grigg,Delidio were starved due to our inabilty to win contested ball

I would also say after watching that game, that Rance was really your only defender providing any sort of rebound (which shouldn't be his main responsibility given he is a KPD). Houli is a deer in the headlights and panics far too often. So the need for effective rebound should be added to that list of yours.

I wonder if we would be happy to pony up pick 13 if Yarran was a Richmond player.

I imagine not many people would be happy with it.

Pretty sure we 'ponied up' pick 12 for McLean...based on that logic pick 13 for Yarran would have been a steal!! :)

Houli was good yesterday and has been good all year except that 1 mistake against fremantle, Yarran on half back i cant see being anywhere near as effective as houli. People really underrate his importance in our team until you actually watch how hard he works and the onfield things he does .

just to give a comparison. I rate Sam Docherty for carlton highly and think he is a fantastic player which i would have loved at richmond and rated him highly in his draft year. Certainly dont think there would be many here that would take Yarran over Docherty

But just have a look at Houli/Docherty statt and theres alot said about houli being soft, I have not seen many players risk their safety like houli has the last 2-3 years.

I personally wouldnt swap Houli for Yarran

Dont know why you would swap him. Would have a very flexible HB line if you had both

Cant see how having 2 similar players on the HB line could work, Both Yarran & Houli are offensive HBF and their defensive games are their weak points. Can have them rotating but cant see 2 at the same time

Official AFL player ratings:
Yarran - 104th
Houli - 182nd

Besides the fact that Yarran is higher rated, I wasn't actually advocating a swap of the two.

Yarran used to be exposed playing in defence, but go back to when he actually gave a shit and he wasn't a liability.

Early days when he switched, opposition would take him deep in their forward line and beat him one on one, but he has improved a lot in that area.

So it seems Bolton wants Yarran to stay.

As nobody seems to be offering anything worthwhile for Yazz, it might be helpful if we all fall back in love with him again.

I like the idea of redemption and second chances. Could be the recruit of year if Bolts can turn him around.:thumbsu:

I'm a jilted lover. It will take a lot for me to ever fall back in love with him again. Certainly won't be because of distant past highlights. The many lowlights of this year have unfortunately been burnt into my brain.
