The Rumors about Chris Yarran are getting stronger and stronger by the day

Apparently he has left Victoria, and wants to come ba

Carlton President Stephen Kernahan could neither Confrim or Deny these claims on MMM radio last night, which seems strange seing as they would have tried contacting Yarran once the rumors surfaced, you would think.

Anyway, in the situation that Yarran does want to come home, i think we would make a huge play for him. We need some more small forwards. Although the rumors of these issues, is a bit off putting

What would we be willing to offer Carlton, and what would those scum expect for him. Maybe something involving Mckinley ?

A straight swap for McKinley is a huge steal. I would be staggered if Blues would allow that. Yarran is a considerable talent.

What rumours?

Are you just talking about something you overheard at the pub?

Is it really substantial enough to warrant a thread on the topic?
Did you not Read my OP

This was discussed on MMM last night, and Damian Barret (a far more credible Journalist than yourself) asked the Carlton president about the Rumor

Seing as it was put to air on a national, public media service, i see that as a bit more than "overheard rumors at the pub"

Maybe he has just slipped back home for a personal matter/court appearence. :p

It was first reported on TripleM last night, they asked Kernahan if the rumours that Yarran had left Melbourne and had one back home were valid, he never confirmed nor denied it.

If there was a way we could get Yarran while also keeping McKinley that would be awesome. Anyway Yarran wants to leave, so Carlton dont have any say in the matter..lets get some revenge for the poor Judd deal.

Has anything been substantiated? Or is it just hot air?

How do you know how credible a journalist I am?

You should post this on the main board, it is news worthy.

I just came across this interesting article regarding Yarran, Naitanui and Walters, written before they were drafted. You guys probably already know, but apparently they grew up together in Midvale and were good friends.

If it's true that Yarran isn't settling in at Carlton, maybe Naitanui can persuade Worsfold that the Eagles need a small forward like Yarran.

Mark Seaby wants out, and he was passed up last year when we wanted a 1st round pick for him, so we should lower our demands to a 2nd round pick for him. Assuming someone (Sydney, Port, Collingwood, Essendon?) takes the bait, we could offer Carlton the worst of our 2 2nd round picks plus a 3rd round pick in return for Yarran.

If we don't win any more games for the year, and made this trade happen, we could end up with 3 picks in the first 20 of the draft, plus Yarran, who was a 1st round pick last year. :D
