Newscorp don't scream, have a look what the ABC does/did/is doing.
Try to think of how if this wasn't happening something else would have been happening.

Porter virtually dared the ABC and Milligan to plead truth, and they did plead truth to the imputations there were “reasonable grounds for suspecting that” Porter committed the rape. They also set out to prove that Porter’s “continuing suitability as Attorney-General and a Federal Minister is in doubt” following the complaint. Porter responded not by exercising his opportunity to deny the allegations on oath, but by discontinuing the case before trial!

The Porter camp’s attempt to spin his negotiated settlement as “a humiliating back down for the ABC” was comical, matched in its absurdity only by The Australian’s willingness to reproduce it.

Porter got no verdict, no damages, no apology, and no take-down of the articles. He extracted $100,000 of mediation costs but no general costs (thus the necessity of the blind trust). The ABC agreed to the suppression of the lurid particulars of its defence and to add an editor’s note to the article (which remains online) – not conceding that its allegations were unfounded or unreasonable, only expressing regret that some readers “misinterpreted the article”.

C'mon Pearce peeps!

To date, there has been no inquiry into Porter’s rape allegations. And now it is unlikely there will be an inquiry into his blind acceptance of money from a blind trust as he skips off to the backbench to continue accepting his parliamentary salary while Australians are kept in the dark.

There's a great article on unChristian Porter by John Hewson in today's Saturday Paper.

Ends with this quote from Grace Tame:

“There’s no way $1 million would be unconditional. For the nation’s former highest lawmaker to claim ignorance of their financial aid is as insulting as Scott claiming ignorance of an alleged rape down the hall.”

Warming to JH. Been to the darkside and doesn't care much what he sees.

The underlined says so so much

As a lawyer, holding the highest legal office in the land, shouldn’t he have known better than to try it on with a blind trust? And wouldn’t you expect the prime minister to have demanded adherence to the highest standards of ministerial conduct?

Well, no. Scott Morrison remains Scott Morrison.

It might be a good idea to set up a crowdfunding campaign to support Tracey Roberts’ bid to unseat Christian Porter at the next election. I’m sure donors would have no problem identifying themselves.
