Clash Guernsey

Personally i think its time collingwood got with the times and had a clash strip...
Ive always thought the training Guernsey back in the day of a black magpie on a white background would be ideal....(if anyone could put pics up would be awesome!) Pretty sure was the days of spicers paper as a sponsor in the 90's.
Anyways interested in peoples thoughts and even designs if they have some...

Simply need the away Guernsey to dominate with white, ie white panels, shorts, black numbers. It's so simple and classic.
Personally I'd like a return to numbers always being black on white background- looks far better in my opinion

I really think there is a market to do something completely different....i would like to see like i said a black magpie on white......no stripes....i am shocked eddie cant see dollar signs in having a clash strip.......we really are behind the times

How much extra would we really make
Say your design and sales v sales of various tops and away strip etc?
Do we think there is this huge market?
Maybe there isn't, maybe people just buy one jumper (out of what is available) and extra purchases might be tops, shirts etc, caps, scarves etc.

Not sure we need to go down the path of very different jumpers.

Probably because 90% of clash strips are ugly and they'll end up selling a bunch on clearance at a loss when they don't sell.

Our white jumper works as a clash although we don't wear it often enough. It would be interesting to see what the sales figures were a couple of years back when we had the magpie on our training jumpers. While sales may increase for a match jumper vs a training jumper the preseason would be the more appropriate place if the objective was purely a money spinner. In saying that even with a great magpie preseason jumper our black and white stripes should still be on the jumper in some manner and we should always wear black and white stripes in the season proper.

I think that's the nub.
We should always wear the stripes in season proper games.
I like that pablo disco bar is thinking broadly, that's how good ideas are born.
though on this one, I just think we are well served with what we have.

I like our current clash guernsey so its a no from me. But I do like it when we wear an alternative kit like the indigenous ones.

The problem is you can end up with stuff like this (both are 2017 clash strips).

The Melbourne one is poor in my view. Why wouldn't they move navy blue and red yoke around? Too much white.
Geelong too far off their jumper but the G thing just looks lame.

Then there is hawthorn- never had a good jumper

Yes, I love the black stripes on white. I was watching some early nineties matches and that simple jumper with black stripes on white with black shorts and socks is absolutely beautiful. Does anyone know why we don't use it for out predominate jumper anymore?

Because somebody thought it was a good idea to be more black, and it just doesn't look as good from the back

Are we talking about the same Eddie who refuses to even entertain the notion of a jumper without our "jailbar" stripes? The same Eddie who made an entire football club change it's strip because it was going to look a smidge like ours?
