It's a dull off season and I got thinking of our clash guernsey.

I was watching AC Milan vs Barca in the champions league this morning and they both offered interesting alternatives.

Barca was wearing a hideous teal colour but with a strip of the traditional maroon and blue across the chest. I thought this could easily be changed to the black and white with an otherwise predominantly black or white guernsey.

AC Milan retained their traditional red and black stripes but they were very thin. From a distance, and a trick of the eye, they looked like a red guernsey. This again could be altered to be either black or white while retaining the stripes.

It's probably hard to visualise but maybe some of our keen photoshoppers could have a crack.

This is what they looked like:

Soccer has numerous clash changes for monetary effect, it's bad enough we have two now let alone changing the designs

Fwiw I believe the clash strip that ac was wearing was the historical original ac strip, much like the Original Juve strip was very thin black and white stripes

I'd love for us to have something entirely new for a clash jumper. I love the stripes, but seeing a really different jumper two or three times a year to break up the monotony.

Wasn't Juve original colour pink? Love the Milan strip (even if it is red and black)

Yeah pink shirt, black shorts. Early 1900 they changed to black and white stripes, but thin solid stripes not the thicker and gradient ones now.

The away strip is pink now isn't it?

"Inspiring the fashion industry for decades, the stripes on the magnificent zebra function as a kind of camouflage, confusing their predators."

Obviously it is off season if I am really posting this, but.....

I love the thought of a whole zebra thing, i.e. confusing the "enemy' with our entire midfield in zebra "stripes", running around...."where is the ball"?....lol

I reckon that looks pretty good myself.

Although the Milan guernsey had about 9 black stripes. I think the more stripes it has the more it looks like the lighter colour hence making a Collingwood guernsey look more white. That's important as a clash guernsey as it differentiates the guernsey more from our current black one.

I think a predominantly white guernsey with stripes from the top of the guernsey to about a third down (chest height) might also look alright. Maybe with the stripes fading away the lower they go.

that is basically the port adelaide sanfl guernsey, no thanx ive heard enough about them bleating about guernseys. if it aint broke dont fix it, we have the best and most recognisable guernsey, no need for a cheap cash grab to get supporters to buy
