i hope we do because we need another speedy fast forward/mid and he seems to have a lot of talent

You have to ask yourself this question gandaal. Why was he delisted by Fremantle after only 1 year, after being their 1st pick in the 2006 draft?
 
clayton collard had serious motivation issues, more than once the senior players had words with him about his attitude. he was playing well for south freo and then got a game (many still didnt believe he deserved it) and then when he got dropped he lost the plot, didnt complete full training sessions, he even got dropped from sth freo. to be honest im glad we got rid of him, he reminds me of sampi, all the talent, not one ounce of drive to make the most of it. another 1st year player we got mourish was the same.

here is an interesting story on how he looked at the start of this pre season, being a midfielder he needed to be fit, he and mourish rocked up for a time trial, every other player lapped them, and five of the players went back to run with them, and then lapped them again!! unbelievable, hence the reason harvs said, you dont want to play, go elsewhere.

ryley dunn is the player you want, and i hope you dont go for him, because i want him back.

Where did I say he got delisted for being shy? I thought he was let go because he didn't step up to AFL like he was expected to and because his WAFL form was bad (I saw him play several times and he didn't have much impact).

I just imagined that Harvey had let him go too early to send a message to the other players on the list and that the only thing keeping Collard from being an early PSD pick was his extremely introvert nature.
 
I'd say there is no chance purely for the following:

If he is showing signs that he has his head right, then he is clearly the best player in the PSD and the tigers will take him. If not, then he won't go PSD at all.

I hope the Tigers take him. Leaves us with plenty of options.
 
I think I heard on the radio that he wasn't even allowed to play for the subsidiary team that feeds Freo. He was just too much of a jerk.

Either that or I read it on Bigfooty in which case you should take it with a grain of salt.

Mail is very strong on us picking up Ryley Dunn.
Hughes would have had plenty to do with his selection so gotta be worth a punt in th PSD?

Our recruiters should know enough re Dunn to make an informed decision.

There looks to be an attempt to get some guys to the club that have good foot skills and a little development alreay there.

We have enough athletic project players with kicking deficencies ATM

Ryan Houlahan Jarrod Waite Brad Fisher


For us to have a complete forward line i reckon we need scotty welsh. We know he can play. He has still got quite a few yrs left until we fill the gap. We desperatily dont need another mid like dunn or collard

Because its Fremantle and Harvey figured he'd make a statement by squashing a couple of kids who haven't done the right thing.

If we threw out every player who had a few issues early on we wouldn't have Fev at the club playing for us today. With his talent he's worth the risk, certainly worth a rookie spot anyway.

It all sounds like a bit of an obstinate back flip of the hand to me. Forget “enough”, it’s meaningless; do we have the right ones?

Very few people were calling for the drafting of Dunn before he was mentioned in the media. Have a look at him by all means but if you can’t take a ‘risk’ this late in the piece then when can you take it?

Trust me when I tell you that he has some pretty serious issues. Harvey is from the old school. He wants disciplined players that will do the team thing, not flakey players with issues.
