Goldsack was one of our best tonight. But yes you are right in saying there is some dead wood. It's far from panic stations but we need to acquire some skill and athleticism.

We lost a final we were rarely in control of but the Tigers lost a final they were in control of for the majority of the game and had so much to play for after over a decade out of the finals.

We're not fit at all how many games this year did we get over run in the last quarter just like last night. look at port they kill us for fitness don't see them doing any high altitude training there coach just made them run laps all per season! I take it your happy with our great kicking skills, they were on first class for you last night

Surely time to revisit 'high altitude training'. Where is the evidence it helps teams who participate in it in any way at all? Not saying that it doesn't, just want to see the facts and figures.

Can we stop talking about players to target, de-list etc. You can have the best list in the comp, but if your gameplan is no good, then the list will ultimately fail. IMO we have a talented enough list right now to win a flag, but we aren't playing to its strengths.

New players would be nice, but they won't help us win finals unless the gameplan is good enough to give us a chance.

Fasolo hasn't been a hog since his first year, last year he was passing it off quiet regularly. Kicks more than a goal a game whilst setting up teammates and using the ball well around the ground, also a really good mark and can tackle really well. Don't forget this is only his 3rd year of footy.. don't think he is overrated at all, has shown in his 2 years in the AFL he is a serious talent

I'm not going to argue the point because every time someone is out for a while on this board they get built up over and over to be the next big thing or someone who will change our team

First game this year vs Hawks had 1 Tackle, 5 I50's which lead to 0 Goal assists (1 Goal) (came on as sub and tried to go for goal a LOT)
Second game v Tigers had 4 Tackles for 2 inside 50's for 1 goal assists (2 Behinds no goals) played the whole game got tired and shirked contests
Third game V Bombers no tackles - no goal assists 2 i50's (0 goals) - again post game review from snoop (whos opinion is of higher order than mine) was that he didn't go hard enough at the contest

He averages 2.4 tackles a game as a forward compare that to a Jeff Garlett who gets 3.5 or 3.1 from a Lecras (I dont know who you'd compare him to league wide as a forward but he would be behind most)

Just another guy who comes into our team as a front runner and joins in our downhill skiing (because we need more of that)

Nah ksardog. Not sure re Harry, but love Blair and the way he goes at the ball, refuses to acknowledge he's way shorter than anyone else on the field, just goes for it.

Goldy just has no feel for the game as a defender. You have to keep your man on a leash, but Goldy is forever playing catchup. His closing speed isn't that great to be able to play as a KPD.

Not too sure what else he could potentially play? Forward decoy/tackle machine/wing?

i still think we lack a third tall up forward. He wouldnt be a bad option, if he was purely to decoy and then mop with defensive pressure if the ball comes loose

If we do trade a key back for pick 1, Reid will have to go to the backline with maybe frost as a third tall (replacing maxwell) and goldy as a leading forward with cloke at chf and lynch/ witts at ff.

N. Brown is a slow big defender in a football era there are no bulky full forwards. he is useless like his brother. Did Reid touch the ball? great game by williams tho, along with swanny.

Swanny touched the pill once in the last quarter. He was good but not great. He undid a lot of his work with terrible disposal.
