Thing is, with this Dawes to Bulldogs chat going on... if I genuinely cared about it I would go to the Bulldogs board and hose down any enthusiasm they have on getting him. I'd start stating that he only kicked 15 (?) goals, drops easy chest marks, hardly did anything all year, etc.

Fact is: I don't care. Maybe it's just the way I go about things but I can only sense that the Hawks are mad that he's coming to us. What's one man's "trash" is another man's treasure.

Dawes has always been terrible though, if it's true that he's on 500k then he has the best agent in the history on the world.

I know that with Rhyce Shaw, it's not fair to judge a player after just one incident. But Young's effort at diving in the goalsquare against Kieran Jack was absolutely putrid. Possibly lost them the game. Weak as piss.

I think you might have nailed why he is looking elsewhere. I would like to see a lot of evidence to indicate that he is NOT gutless before I would recruit him. Remember ......the Hawks always dump their weak players....Jonathon Hay....that guy Thompson....both ended up loonies and the Hawks got rid of them while they could still get a high draft pick. I wouldnt trust them...

Assuming that we are looking at delisting Wood, a trade would mean that we wouldn't have to pay out his contract or include it in the salary cap.
