The problem with Young is that he's a classic home and away footballer, who looks great for 22 weeks of the season, but when the pressure and intensity lifts in the finals he falls away and is found out.

You're aware that he was considered on track for the Norm Smith until half time of the '08 grand final until rolling his ankle at the beginning of the 3rd yeah.

I don't think so! I don't care if he's into wearing dresses, dolls and afternoon tea parties: players of his size, mobility and penetrating kick are extremely rare. I've really rated him for 4-5 years.

This is really what Clinton Young is all about. It's a weapon. A serious weapon and a game breaking device. His long range bombs can split open a flood and can change the momentum of games. Problem is that he's soft as butter. If you find him in a contested scenario he will let you down 9/10. It's quite frustrating reconciling the two. Him going to ground in the defensive goal square of the grand final still gives me cold sweats. All he needed to do was get something on the ball. Anything and I think we would have won the game!
