Can't say I remember all the details, but I think it was 1500 tickets@$200

10 prizes, the big one being either $30K or a Nissan Murano

Educated guess, prizes add up to about $50K worth, club would get $300K, so $250K profit.

Odds like that, I dare say it can/should be thought of largely as a donation.

I told them to let me think about it and call me back...$200 is a bit of a stretch, but I might do it anyway.

Got the same call, said no as the wife and I are buying a new car next week.

i wonder what chance of winning is

I think she said there were 1500 tickets, but doing the maths suggests there are 2000 ( 1 in 18 chance to win instantly, 111 instant prizes = 1978 tickets )

Only 5 prizes are actually more than the entry price.

From the terms and conditions : "Total potential prize pool is up to $64,307.00."

So 64,307/400,000 means ~16% is actually returned to punters, and only 1 in 400 will actually be 'winners' ( ~1 in 17 will get something back ).

As said above, enter considering it to be a donation that might come with a few benefits, not because you have a realistic chance to win anything.

I entered.

Sure some people can't afford that (like myself) but it is another nice fund raiser being held by the club. There will be 1500 members that would be happy to spare with $200, I am sure of that.

Well done Tigers, keep doing these type of things, anything that is profit to the club is a good thing! everything is going just peachy right now :) on and off the field :thumbsu:

Didn't buy a raffle ticket but I did send of my $120 donation today. :thumbsu:

So there is a set of dumbbells that will be bought by the club....they better ****ing use them!
