As expected fairly one sided poll here in favour of the negative.

Lyrics of the song shouldn't be changed but can anyone remember the extra bit they tacked on to the start of the song in the late 80s and early 90s. May even have been done by Mike Williamson. I remember my brother and I used to love it. From memory it was more spoken than singing and was to a slightly different tune to the main song.

Can remember hearing it over the loud speaker in the outer at Vic Park as a youngster. It was before the "Good Old Collingwood" kicked in and went something like this:

There's no team we'd rather see winning
and there's no team that likes winning more
When it's all said and done and the premierships won.
It's Collingwood ever more.
Good Old Collingwood Forever......

Anyone remember this???

I found an old cassette of my mothers with words to the song
she wrote out
It was written by Mike Brady and goes as follows

Well we all know this team is a legend,
Is the biggest and best, thats understood,
so we give our support , to the kings of the sport,
so go on and win Collingwood.
There's no team we'd rather see winning
and theres no team that likes winning more
when its all said and done
and the premiership's won
its Collingwood forever more
Good Old cCollingwood forever
they know how to play the game
side by side we stick together
to uphold the magpie's name
hear the barracker's are shouting
as all barrackers should
there is just one team we favour
and its good Old Collingwood.

hope that helps Tails1
