madtiger2005 said:hewitt won wimbeldon and the US open. Hey '1980', how many australians have won the aus open in the last 30 years? lol. Hewitt only lost his number 1 spot over a year ago because he missed about 4 months from injury. He dropped to about number 15, but he has worked his way back to number 2. Federer is the best, then Hewitt would be the next. Hewitt is probably capable of beating Federer again and taking number one spot though.
Was impressed with the way he carried himself thru the winners ceremony. Showed how much of a champion bloke he is. Bad luck Leyton.cairo tiger said:bad luck little leyton you did us all proud

I don`t have a dictionary handy but anyone can correct me if i am wrong but to me , the quintessential description of a choker is someone who crumbles under pressure .......... LMAO
Beaten by a better bloke on the night , if you want to believe that he is a choker then that is your perogative .1980 said:What do you call winning the first set, dominating the 2nd when your opponent cant buy a first serve, and being up 3-0 in the 3rd, and still losing the match?
Choking!
This match should have been over by the 2nd set when Safin was struggling. Sorry mate, but he choked.

Think before you talk.
I remember him complaining long and loud about the fact that when he played against Rafter years ago and Tony Roche and John Newcombe were sitting in the Rafter camp.peejay said:Tell me the last time you heard Mark complain about someone or something.
I am tipping never.

Furthermore, the Scud hasn't won a match since May last year. Now his knee recons were in 2001. What I was saying (if you read the thread correctly) was that if he was so serious about his tennis he should give the girlies away for a while and concentrate solely on tennis. His ranking is out of the top 100 and he has only won 10 career titles.

I can't even fathom why you are talking about these two players as if they're somehow comparable lol. Would like to see a comparison of their achievements!
