hewitt won wimbeldon and the US open. Hey '1980', how many australians have won the aus open in the last 30 years? lol. Hewitt only lost his number 1 spot over a year ago because he missed about 4 months from injury. He dropped to about number 15, but he has worked his way back to number 2. Federer is the best, then Hewitt would be the next. Hewitt is probably capable of beating Federer again and taking number one spot though.

As good as Hewitt is madtiger, he isn't even close to Federer. He is by far the best. Hewitt doesn't have enough guns to beat Roger. Only way he could possibly beat Federer is if Roger loses it himself.

Beaten by a better bloke on the night , if you want to believe that he is a choker then that is your perogative .

For mine , he is a bloke who dosen`t quite have the ability that a few of the others have but he wrings 110% out of himself . When Safin found his A game and Hewitt started to struggle with his serve , it was over .

Furthermore, the Scud hasn't won a match since May last year. Now his knee recons were in 2001. What I was saying (if you read the thread correctly) was that if he was so serious about his tennis he should give the girlies away for a while and concentrate solely on tennis. His ranking is out of the top 100 and he has only won 10 career titles.

Yes he was said to be furious - can't blame him - but he didn't say anything public. I believe his old man had a crack but not him.

Safin has only won 12 so career titles ain't everything and as far as his ranking goes yes 120 is not good but hopefully he will come back. Andre Agassi fell to 187 a few years back when he got injured and came back so it is possible.

I think Mark gets bad press because his name is not anglo celtic.

Well Froars my lovely - yes Lleytons recoed of two grand slam wins to Marks two grand slam R/U is beter. That is obvious.

Actually i was discussing the type of people they were.

Personally I think mark is a better person that Lleyton.
