Except I would say that is Rowell's best position. Around the clearance, hunting the ball and tackling.

Rowell is 84% but Clayton Oliver is 85%, Tom Green is 87%, and Lachie Neale is 88% for the year.

Fair dinkum, don't you want that type of player around the ball?

I would be happier with 100% for Rowell and less time for Touk and Ando.

Freo game Serong 94%, Brayshaw 81%, Miller 78%, Rowell 75%, Anderson 65%.

Yeah agree Rowell should be in there high %. Miller has value half fwd/ wing as does Anderson. All the rage at the moment is the fwd mid, someone who can play a stoppage then play small fwd. Could be Humphrey eventually, maybe ainsworth can be given time through there or even miller. We are fine with the crash and bash stuff just need to get some polish.

I hate going back to it, but I think Dew completely stuffed any hope of starting a successful season, with his ridiculous idea of playing too many talls in the forward line together.

They even trained it over the pre season, so now trying to undo that and go back to a conventional model, sees the team 1 - 4.

It was seriously ridiculous, has never worked in the AFL era. Now it's still not right, good players are stuck in the two's or lost confidence and there is no chemistry because all the parts of last year that worked, have now been dismantled, thrown around and put back together with parts missing.

Excellent analysis. Shame so many within the club can't understand this logic.

The great warrior Sean Lemmens is quoted “We have a solid game plan that stacks up as we know.”

This afternoon it has been clearly debunked here by the last two postings.

Just a thought.

When we watch other coaches during a game they seem to be surrounded with assistants . Players come off the ground and talk on the phone to someone other than the coach. At half time they get in different groups with other assistant coaches. (Suns included).

The point is. Does Dew seek advise when the game is at critical points when other teams gain momentum or does he stick to his experience as an unsuccessful coach with his unsuccessful game plan?

The numbers are clear and over an extended period, Dew can’t coach, he has a team chock full of elite talent and we are 💩 why?

Because he wants everyone to be good at everything and as such finds fault in players that when allowed to play to their strengths shine in Other programs ( Brodie, 2MP, etc). On gamer day he is a stunned mullet, no tactics, no foresight. Ffs it’s like being an ANZAC under British command

This is clear irrefutable evidence of the current situation.

So what is the next step? Do we demand the whole Board step down and be replaced by a competent one?

Has there been a coach in the AFL era, that has gone 6 years without playing in the finals once?
You could extend that question further.
Has there ever been a paid coach in any senior grade in the land to survive with that record?
