Caro tends to cop it for reports like this but look at what happened at Hawthorn with Mitchell taking over. She was absolutely spot on.

If the AFL are truly frustrated with our situation then they would go over the top of our board and make sure Clarko is coaching us next year. This may very well be step number one. They did it with the wooden spoon winning Brisbane Lions in 1998 when Leigh Matthew took over after more than a decade of disappointing results and the same thing happened with Sydney after they also claimed another wooden spoon in 1992. We're basically in the same boat right now and Alastair Clarkson just so happens to be available.

I’m not a Dew fan I think he has under performed with the list but if the AFL has to throw buckets of money at the angry midget then it should be a big red flag. He either wants it or he doesn’t

Dew will have to coach out his contract next year if Clarko is only an option to come in 2023.

Maybe he can do a Paul Roos at the Swans and turn things around next year.

If that happens then we just bring Clarko in as some sort of director of football and he just pulls Dews strings like Roos ended up doing for Goodwin.

Forgive the intrusion but Clarko could be posting photo's of him and the better half on a beach in Cancun a week before the 2022 season starts and the AFL media buffoons will still be speculating he'll be coaching some club...!!!

FYI, rumours are his planned travel next year to the US is not entirely vacation related. He has actually hinted this a few times publicly in recent pressers, which our small-minded media plonkers have chosen to ignore.

I have no doubt the club, including Coch want him and have told him so.
It’s just this constant media noise (others than just Caro) saying that senior AFL officials want a proven experienced coach and are pressuring the Suns to move him on.
Who wins that battle?
