Surely Rance is nearing constant senior matches, also nice to see Collins working hard and getting in best after being named emerg so we now know king is playing today.

He's got McGuanes spot very firmly in his sights. Good to see Collard in the bests without kicking a bag... Starting to work harder perhaps?

That's what I thought. Dissapointing with Conner's not being named in the best, however alot of the time these "best's" are pretty inaccurate. But if not, maybe he won't be making an apperance in the Coburg 1sts next week.

Awesome to see Rance playing well

Grats to the boys, top effort.

I just have a question though. How was Collins named in the 'Ins' for Richmond, yet ends up playing for the Coburg reserves?

Richmond should get their own stand-alone VFL team like Collingwood and Geelong. All Richmond listed players should be playing in the VFL, not the VFL Reserves. :thumbsd:

Havent been around for the long weekend, but usually they name an extended interchange. A few extra on the bench then decide between those guys who remain in.

It tends to get a bit harsh on players who are about to make their debuts only to miss out on the final selection. However I'm sure Collins would have been made well aware of this when selected.

Writing this before I read the OER report on Rance. I cannot wait until this guy comes into the team. Cotchin aside, and I know we're all excited about Trent, he's the one I'm the most exited about.

In two years time our backline will consist of Rance, Thursty, Moore (really coming good now), and McGuane. Very exciting future.

EDIT:Great report, and good to see Rance moving up the ground. Looks like we can get Gourdis to do this as well, having now read the report, but think he'll end up forward rather than back. Too quick, and to good a mark to used up back I feel.

It's the cost of running a stand alone side. Hugely expensive - that is why the big clubs like Geelong and Collingwood do it, they can afford it!

We have one of the best relationships with an ex VFA side in the comp.It also gets us closer to the Calder Cannons.Any of the kids who fail to get drafted most end up at Coburg.Any late developers are closely looked at.
