Cam has played a couple more good games than Cole as well
Cam and Jase Cloke are good ordinary footballers. Richard Cole has heaps more ability than them, but currently does not have the necessary application or dedication with his footy. Trade J Cloke to Carlton and R Cole to Essendon.

******** off, the last place we should send Jason is to Carlton, I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy, let alone Jason

Cole has limited ability, but lacks a football brain, or any sort of brain, unlike the Cloke Clan. Cole is an overrated hack and only a few Collingwood supporters see any good in him. Suprisingly most of those who bagged me last year have finally come around to realise Cole is going no where and the earlier we trade him, the better. Still doubt he has any value though at the trade table

Have heard Mark Harvey on Fox Footy and 3AW with Tony Shaw a couple of times recently and every time the topic of Pies comes up, Harvs says 'whats going on with Richard Cole?'

Have no doubt the Bombers are into Cole (his guardian is a director of EFC) and telling him they will get him at year end. Hope Cole has another year on contract or we may lose him to Bombers in PSD for nothing. (same as with Mark Fraser a few years ago)
They can give us a sekkund round pick.

Cole might be desparately out of form, but he isn't a hack and he has a tremendous upside.

He's still 21 FFS. Think back to when your were 21. How well put together was your career, life, fitness. Takes time to grow mentally into your ability in some instances and Cole's recent form is clearly below what he's shown in the past. He will mature.

He'd attract tremendous interest from Carlton presuming he's uncontracted, so Essendon would have to trade.

Considering the Bummers are likely to end up very low on the ladder, a sekkund round pick would be attractive, probably top 20.

A lot of you guys here seem to know a hell of a lot about Coley.

He wants to play for Collingwood and is still not 100% after injuring his ankle, so just give him a break and wait till season's end before hammering him! People have always enjoyed getting stuck into him at the first opportunity and the current time leaves him very vulnerable.
I'd be more inclined to give him and the other blokes you are paying out as much support as possible and then at season's end discuss what options are.

And, you Eddiesmith, are the hack of a supporter!

trizzles, he has struggled all year. He's looked even worse since his ankle injury, but you're right, we've got to take that into consideration.

We might be throwing around the potential for a trade which might benefit us, especially considering we're not too bad down back, but we're not giving thim the arse.

As for eddiesmith, he's the Cam Cloke of supporters. He's got a lot of fire, but most of it's just huff and puff, and he must realise that results are in quality output.

I agree that it hasn't been the best of years for Coley. However, there are other players (as will be the case at all clubs) that will cop the treatment that we, as football fans, give to players who are out of form.
Now, we can really vent our frustration here and I accept that, but I also like to think that we can jump on and try and support the guys too. If we think so negatively here when posting, how can we really go with an open mind to say, a Williamstown game, and support the players who are struggling and really need a confidence boost?
Confidence is a big factor in any sport and for a lot of these younger players, especially those who haven't played well this year, may be it is all they need. I'm prepared to stick with these boys all the way and then if they don't stand up, let them go with best wishes. It is now that they need to show that they can stand up, be counted and want to play for the Collingwood Football Club and I still believe that Coley has a heap to offer.

Give him a break? Haha, listen here, there are players on our list with more talent and have shown a hell of alot more than Cole over their time and get dished out more ******** than Cole cops

I dont give a ******** if he is supposed to be injured, his injury just saved him from getting dropped as he has been ******** all year, or are you going to claim he has been injured all year?

There are other players on our list who are trying a lot harder than Cole to get back into the senior side and right now on effort, he is last on the list for a re call. He is finished, Collingwood made a huge mistake picking him up just like other duds like Shackleton, Nixon, McGough etc. Im sure some other club will take Cole and in 2-3 years, he will find himself dumped from that club.

People have always enjoyed getting stuck in? What a joke, he has been a protected species around here untill the middle of this year and now he is getting what he deserves. If he wants to take all the money he gets and use it on food and sit on his fat ass all day and not try, then fine, but he should be prepared to be abused.

I don't need to be told by some fiery fool about Coley's attitude, ability or injury status. You wouldn't know the first thing about the kid or the way he is going about his footy.

And don't come back when he does something.

When he does something? Oh dont worry, that wont happen

I can see you love Richie, so why dont you go and jump back in bed with him and stop defending the undefendable

Your last post could be very offensive to some people, so pull your head in and think before you write rubbish!

Whether I am a fan of his or not, I just hope he puts you in your place. Oh, and it will happen when the time is right.

You think I give a ******** if it is offensive to other people?

I doubt it will happen, I know people who know Coley and even they are laughing at him atm. Just because you know them off the field or know what they are like doesnt mean you cant bag their on field performances. As members of the club, we are effectively paying their salary and we have a right to demand they perform and if they dont we have every right to abuse them. If you ******** up in your job in the real world, you will cop a pasting, AFL players learn to live with it, maybe you should as well

Coley going to put me in my place? I dont think so

Coley going to put me in my place? I dont think so

He can when he starts performing on the ground. May be then you will crawl up and hide in a little hole.

Why don't you care if you offend others? This is a public board and everyone has a right to read and post without worrying about such problems.

You know people who know Coley, hey? Well, they definitely know him well to be paying him out behind his back! And, I'm sure Coley, like any other worker in the real world, has been told what he has to do to improve.

Footballers have learned to cop abuse?? Only because blokes like you think that it is ok to do it in the first place! The football world is the only place that employers (club and coaches) can get away with dealing out what they do to people. No one deserves to be abused at any time just for playing football. It is an utterly ridiculous statement from you.

I think you'll find most people on this board think Richie has ability but why has he porked up? With all the services a football club provides this should not be happening. I remember this quick skillfull wingman cutting sides up when he was at the Eastern Ranges. Now he resembles a fat guy who can't get a kick. He needs to dedicate himself to the game and that means losing a stack of weight if he can't then I'm afraid he's trade bait.

You will eat Humble "PIE"

A similar pattern is appearing. How was Rhyce Shaw going prior to his injury? You question the relevance? Put your thinking cap on.

Coley will be a match winner in the future. He will play in the midfield for the CFC and be a star... A bit like Rhycey... ;)

Collingwood is heading in the right direction... STAY POSITIVE...
