Was just looking through my team and noticed the Colin Sylvia has not had a price change after 4 games. Surely this is an error and not a case of him having a 3 round average spot on his break even 2 weeks in a row.

Starting Price = $428,200
Round Scores = 114, 86, 87, 117

What is going on here people?

I noticed this last week and was a little confused. He's scored very close to his break even the last couple of rounds but you'd think there would still be some change

Round 3 BE: 84, Score: 86
Round 4 BE: 112, Score: 117

It would be remarkable if he's hit his exact breakeven 2 weeks in a row. You'd have to think somethings gone wrong. I mean you'd think he'd go up or down at least $100.

With a magic number of $4600 I make it that he should have risen by $2K or so. For his price to remain the same the magic number would have to be $4,480 on my calculations.

With rookie prices rising it's not impossible that the magic number reduced by $120. In fact, I think I just used $4,600 in my spreadsheet as a guess anyway.

I ran the $4,480 magic number on the price change for Pendlebury and it was pretty close to his new price.

It could be a case of Sylvia's price change rounding to the nearest 100 and staying the same.

Hondo's on the right track here, this is just a massive coincidence.

I actually look each week for players whose price hasn't changed from the prior week to determine the most current magic number, so I can work out next weeks break evens/price movements.

This actually highlights how far the magic number can drop in the space of 4 weeks. Using the Colin Sylvia example, the magic number started at 4866 pre round 1 (using his 2010 average), then fell to 4476 after round 3 and is now at 4428. Nearly a 10% drop since the start of the season.

Break evens will never be entirely accurate as they are worked out using the prior round's magic number which generally decreases as the season progresses.

Round 6: BE 85, Score 85

LOL Might have to wait another week to see some movement.

EDIT: Down to 82. Movement, movement, movement!
