i think its time to bring the kid into the team. Hes got pace and skill to burn, played well for souths and kicked three on the weekend. Peakes injured, and need a youngster to rejuvinanate the slow dockers midfield. The ploy seems to be working for other teams like essendon and port. thoughts?

Yeh wouldnt mind seeing him in the teem he also could be a good replacement for farmer

He had OP over the preseason so I doubt he would be up to AFL standard fitness. Agree with prattsta it's probably not a great idea to be blooding rookies in a derby.

Collard and Mourish both look outstanding prospects though - who needs first round draft picks hey?

This is so funny, one guy runs around for the East Freo magoos and the other sits on the pine for the bottom side in the WAFL! Yes they are outstanding prospects!

Now young lady when you get a little older and wiser you might learn a thing or two about our great game.

:o

I barrack for a different West Coast Eagles........

On a serious note.....how likely are Collard and Mourish to get a game this year, all things being equal?

Harvey said that Black, Longmuir and Dodd will be considered for selection this week, along with a young player. Probably means Drum or Dunn, but you never know.

If he played it would be as an impact player in the forward line off the bench in short bursts ala jetta, so doesn't really need to have top level fitness for that role.

But Scham, I'm not sure that is what we need. We're kicking plenty of goals. I think we need someone with a more defensive mindset if anyone.

Yeah I agree. Didn't actually say that I think we should play him, just stating that if he did play that would be his role so wouldn't need top fitness levels.

yeah leave solly up forward, keeps the ball in and puts on really good forward pressure, adds another dimension

Yeah, he's waited long enough. How long does he have to wait Chris ???!!!!

collard's only just been drafted!! hasn't been waiting long at all and will be lucky to get a game this year, especially with the wiz back in a few weeks.

Thats what Jetta's been doing for us, applying a ton of pressure on opposition backlines which has even at times given them inferred pressure. Having watched some of the under 18's im sure Collard could work with someone like Farmer and do the same thing for Freo as Davey and Jetta have done for us.

No way should collard or mourish get a gig just yet. We are kicking enough points to win a game of football. Everyone just needs to realise we are only 2 games into a 22 round season. We had 8 of our best 22 out last week and were pretty competitive against an essendon side at full strength and in form. We lost by ten points. We didnt get blown away by 10 goals.

The only guys that should be under consideration at this point would be Ryley Dunn, Adam Campbell and possibly Robert Warnock because of Longmuirs knee injury.

Mourish and collard may be good players but not at this point, not after a handful of WAFL games. More experienced required for mine....

gotta agree pistol, unless we have alot of injuries, then i reckon at the moment the three you mentioned should be next in line. Gilmore must Go!!!

I agree. But even Dunny needs to string a few more high quality games together for the Sharks. Campbell maybe needs to play a game or two on an AFL listed player and see if he can still get 25 possessions, take 10 marks and kick 4 goals (pretty good to do that anyway). Warnock would have to be a "we're desperate" thing. The kid is talented, and would definitely be a signature they should be working very hard on, but he's 6 inches taller than Pav and 10 kgs lighter, so you don't want to chuck him in against Cox and "Elbows" Seaby. He'd get monstered.

I'd add Marcus Drum to the "should come under consideration" list also.
