Im bitterly dissapointed that Greg Miller has made the move to join the casey ticket. To me this only confirms the speculation that CC is funding Millers role at the club and there would be little surprise where he would end up should he depart Punt Rd.

I worry about the future of the club when those in power have been so derelict in their fiscal responsibilities. Make no mistake, the off field performance needs to be turned around immediately and CC has not proven himself to have the ability to complete this.

It will be a sorry state if Miller has to exit with tail between legs...he is a proven gun as football manager with the ability to

1. Recognise whats required
2. Negotiate suceesfully to achieve his goals

however his record beyond football related duties is a tarnished one with his former club North Melbourne now on AFL life support. I fail to see why he needs to align himself with a political agenda unless of course there is a personal one.

This is becoming ugly, I sincerely hope there is a happy ending

How about the obvious. He believes in Casey and the current direction of the football club. He is a passionate tiger supporter that wants this club to succeed and knows Macek will only take the club backwards by disrupting all the hard work he has put into place. Some people like to look for a conspiracy under every pillow. Sometimes the truth is simple.

The fact that Miller has taken the extraordinary step of joining the board lends alot of weight to any speculation surrounding Miller and Casey.

I see where your coming from to a point, Casey has worked hard and maybe like StKilda have learnt their lessons and are poised to now reap the reward for the hard work. Not certain that Macek will undo everything other than Miller may very well fall on his own sword. That will be a setback, not an insurmountable one, however one that I wouldnt wish for.

I am also bitterly dissapointed when the alternative ticket uses our heros from 2 to 3 decades ago to help win them an election and play on the members heartstrings to make us all feel better.

works both ways doesnt it?

right...you do realise there is a massive difference though???

I remember bourke spent plenty of time at the club with his dud son.

That really helped a heap didnt it.

would that be our past heros have no business credentials what so ever?

I want to know what these people have been doing for the past 20 years.

Actually he resigned as chairman of selectors as soon as his son was listed because he saw it as a potential conflict.

I know this is probably none of my business, but I actually think what's happening at Richmond is long overdue and will ultimately help to turn things around. Sometimes wholesale changes aren't made unless you hit rock-bottom.

not really , im more concerned that a credible source such as Brendan Gale would support significant change. He has been in the box seat to one make the judgement and two has the smarts to make a balanced judgement.

Former players are not always balanced in their views and I take what many of them have to say with a grain of salt.

It is the immediate future of the club at stake here and personalities should NOT come into it
