With so many Pies players in Willy seniors maybe someone (maybe me) should do weekly wrap of Willy reserves, be good for the boys

The Collingwood players are superior. 13 of Williamstown's 20 goals on the weekend came from Collingwood players, and guys like Ben Davies, Scott Burns, Scott Pendlebury and Danny Nicholls are essentially the only reasons that Williamstown are winning games.

Last year, when Collingwood faced so many injuries that essentially all of the healthy Collingwood players were playing AFL, Williamstown didn't do too well, did they?

This is the only chance these players get to play, and they shouldn't be forced into an inferior competition just because somebody wants to watch crappy players run around.

I can understand where you are coming from. It must be frustrating for long time willi supporters and more so players on willi's list when an afl club's players take up the majority of the spots . While the club must play the best players I can certainly understand why you would be frustrated as it is really just collingwood reserves in Willi's colours. I personally used to prefer them as seperate comps but i must say it is very enjoyable watching a vfl game every now and then.

While I can understand why VFL clubs want a limit, having to play our listed players in the 3rds is a joke. The level of competition there is farcical. Willy win by 100 points regurlaly. May as well send them back to TAC cup.

Should be seperate comps IMO, because all the Williamstown supporters have no team now. I've followed Williamstown for 15 years and now it bloody Collingwood reserves. I admit we are winning because of the Collingwood players, but i'd rather Williamstown VFL lose, than Collingwood playing in Willy colours win.

Yes I'm a Geelong supporter, but I have been going for Williamstown my whole life. I've been to many of their games, still watch tapes of their 86 and 90 premiership wins, and went along to the 2003 win (when we wre aligned with you yes) and it's like I dont have a team to follow nemore.

Why don't you follow Geelong (VFL side)?

My friend is an Essendon supporter and he followed Williamstown up to 2004. Now he follows Bendigo.

I know, being a lifelong Williamstown supporter, it must be tough to change teams, but it's never too late.

I dont want to follow Geelong VFL. I do keep an eye on them, but its not the same. I played for Williamstown as a junior, played at half time during Willy VFL games, had Willy players take us for training sessions etc, I cant just change. Dont get me wrong, Collingwood is great for Willy, and we've got the best alignment with an AFL club in the comp, but even 12-10 split, 17 players or whatever it was is crap. And dont you have to play 11-11 in finals neway?
