Now remember there is an extended bench (8 instead of the usual Wiz Fizz cup 6) so only 2 of these players will be dropped for Saturday night. So in summary:
In: Swan, H.Shaw, T.Cloke, Egan, Fanning, Leonard, Maxwell
Out: Tarrant, Johnson, Richards and 2 Others

So at least 3 of the new players (H.Shaw, T.Cloke, Egan, Fanning, Leonard) are guaranteed to play.

Id expect to see fanning in there, with richards gone, and zane with BJ gone. Travis may play but i have a feeling we'll see egan instead. My tips are for C3 and Lokan to miss.

I also spoke to Billy Morrison today and he told me that he can almost straighten his leg and his knee should keep him out of action for about 2 weeks.

3. collingwood goals in the first half. plan to kick any this time?

4. are you going to run with judd, and if so, who gets the job?

5. does the knowledge that jeremy humm is going to play strike a pall of fear into your victorian hearts?

6. with big cox gone and gardiner forward, and our ruck lineup now consisting of rising star junior seaby and rookie ruckman micheal embley (total age of the two: 9 years 7 months), who is going to shoulder the ruck duties for you guys, who is going to relieve him, and how do you think they will go?

7. if our forward line consisted of say, hansen, sampi, gardiner, embley and adkins, who will clement play on, and will he close check or run off to create?

8. with a couple of exceptions, i reckon your kids mostly suck. who am i absolutely wrong about? who is going to cement a spot this year and pick up a rising star nom?

IMO Clement will play on Sampi.. Wakelin, Cole, Lonie, Walker Prest if he plays will line up in the backline.

Collingwood is set to unveil four new youngsters in its quarter final clash against the West Coast Eagles at Marrara Oval in Darwin on Saturday night.

Chris Egan, the club's first selection in last year's national draft, has been named, along with father-son pick Travis Cloke. Collingwood has also added second-year rookie players David Fanning and Zane Leonard.

Egan, the nephew of former Tiger and Demon Phil Egan and ex-Bulldog and Demon Les Bamblett, is a classy midfielder with excellent pace.

The third of the Cloke brothers at Collingwood, Travis is touted as the most talented of the trio. He is the son of David, who played for Richmond and Collingwood.



The 204-centimetre Fanning is a former NBL basketballer for the Cairns Taipans. The 20-year-old played four matches for VFL side Williamstown in the ruck last year, before suffering a season-ending knee injury.

Leonard also hails from another sporting background, having been a junior champion in athletics. A hamstring injury kept him on the sidelines for the first 17 rounds of last season.

The West Coast Eagles have also made four changes to the squad it named before its match with Fremantle last week - with ruckman Michael Gardiner the big name inclusion.

Playing against the Pies would be a major step for the All-Australian ruckman after a knee injury ended his 2004 season at round three.

Gardiner, new face Mitchell Morton, Josh Wooden, Damien Adkins and Adam Selwood have come in for Drew Banfield, captain Ben Cousins, Dean Cox (cheekbone) and Michael Braun.
