Snoozer I dont see why you need to resort to some of the things you say. Critisize and say what you want but keep it clean please.

Calling Collo a parasite and a fat ... and worse is not passionate. It is rude and disrespectful.

If you do not like Collo then say so and say why but stop the insults one after the other. Then insulting other posters for disagreeing with you.

No one else has bothered to come forward to put their balls on the line and do the hard work when we're down. Collo deserves credit for that even though he isn't media friendly and could have done some things better.

The next President and Coach of Carlton will have a far easier job selling a list than the one Collo and Pagan had when they came into office. Just like Wallace and Eade when they took over two underachieving sides and received a fistfull of early draft picks as a bonus. It wouldn't surprise if the next coach gets the credit after the Hartletts, Russells, Walkers, Murphys, etc. all come of age as AFL footballers.

He does need to show more personality but if this deal comes off he deserves the praise for putting us back on our feet.

There is an issue made in this thread (and this board in general) that people need to seriously consider, and thats the dubious role of self appointed censors. There are several people operating on these boards who jump up and down with indignation, telling people they should leave, not post, show more carlton faith etc whenever something is posted they do not agree with. These are not moderators but some sort of blue evagelistic fanatics. Let me inform you that taking the moral high ground and attempting to silence those who dissent is in fact a form of fascism and is found only in the worst examples of meglomania and oppressive dictatorships from humaities dark and sordid past. You may not LIKE what is being said, you may not agree with it. but let it be said.
Having said that there are pre-defined rules on these boards including swear filters. Fine. But that is no reason to turn this part of cyber space into some fascist regeime to accomodate personal, egocentric , supercilious, vainglorious dictatorships.

Let the people speak.

If it is me that is being over zealous, send a PM to the other two mods or to Groves himself. He will look into complaints. Saying something is happening without revealing where and how is is happening means nothing will be done about it.

Differences of opinion are fine and debate is encouraged. Swearing for the sake of it, avoiding swear filters and abusing other posters should are not tolerated. We have minors posting in this forum and it would be derelict of us to allow this type of free speech. If you can come back and show me where someone was censored for simply having a different opinion, then that is a different story.

I have not seen anything to be concerned about thus far.

My obection stems from NON-moderators who are self appointed arbitrators of this board, and any other, when a supporter questions activites at the CFC. Rather than approach the issues raised people are being told they are unfaithful to the blues, are trolls, should go barrack for richmond, etc,etc,etc,etc. It is happening more and more to the point that one can not raise any questions without being insulted and told to PO by the same old usual suspects. I recently raised a question regarding the form of Eddie Betts, fair enough, but oh no ! Shouldnt be too hard to see the response from the same old hand wringers. This thread is another example and it goes on and on and on. There is no wit, humour, irony or banter in these attempts at intimidating people from posting their CFC objections.
As i have said, no dramas with moderators what-so-ever.....great Job. Dont have a problem with other posters who insult me, are rude whatever........I do not like being told not to post in my own football teams forum, nor seeing others being told the same thing, by some self styled BF moral evangelist.

Audas has a point. There has been a bit of snickering on this board. Usually it's only a case of one poster disagreeing with another. Which is fine. - It usually starts an interesting debate. However, calls suggesting a poster isn't a Carlton man is a bit harsh.

I'll tell you what, if anyone thinks a poster isn't a Carlton supporter, but a Carlton troll, report him to one of the moderators. The accusation will be looked at, and a judgement will be made. Otherwise, don't make such degrading and snide remarks. We want all Carlton supporters to be able to express their opinions freely on this board.

The only degrading and snide remarks were made by Snoozer, no one was called a troll and I still agree with him calling Collo a parasite.

Camporeale, Hamill and Elliott yes, but not Collo.

I am all for different views and discussion and even posters from other teams coming on here and liven things up. Just not abuse and personal attacks and language and inferences which are unsavoury.
I edited a number of the posts so it all looks pretty harmless. But If you read what the original posts where they were not harmless.

I do not like editing peoples posts at all and would prefer that I never have to do it. All I really like to do is talk football and ramble along on this board and the draft board.

I don't believe I have insulted anyone personally. A bit of foul language perhaps, but if people can't handle that then I don't believe it's my problem. I'm more than happy for others to return fire with interest if they so desire.

Like I have said. I prefer to not edit anything. I am getting pms on the draft stuff and also on other boards. All I really want to do is answer those.

Snoozer, mods don't actually make the rules. They uphold them. If you don't believe the rules are fair, I suggest you express your opinion on the 'Suggestions Board'. Don't think you'll acheive much though. Besides, when you signed up to Bigfooty you agreed to post within the rules.

That doesn't mean you can't express yourself though. Infact, even I'm not jumping up and down about Pagan and Collo's acheivements (see my first couple of posts in this thread). Just keep things civilised. That's all we're asking.
