Some old familiar names in that thread - bushie the great, Mems <8% or GTFO to name a couple. But so many others who have come and gone. And then there’s us rusted on aging masochistic sad-sacks who are still hanging around. flipping Freo!Speaking of that jumper... I campaigned long and hard for the purple haze to become our new home jumper. In fact, I take 100% of the credit (or 1500% as Trump would say) for the change away from the red and green thanks to this thread in 2008.
But... now I've gotten used to our new jumpers it felt like the anchor last night was lacking something, and not just the uncanny valley thing you're talking about. It just seemed a little less sharp and menacing than the chevrons. Almost gave off training jumper type vibes.
I'm really hoping we stick with our chevron jumpers forever now and they become an iconic symbol of the club like the old Vic clubs have.
I’m extra glad that our Freo boys achieved a win for you at this supremely tough time.my adult son finally lost his life after 13 years of fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma last Sunday. He lived with me as I was his carer. He was never into sports and definitely wasn't interested in AFL, despite my ongoing allegiance to Freo since their inception and his childhood. He would annoy me by cooking in the kitchen during games, (I like to totally concentrate), today I soooo missed his annoyance, but also happy that Freo fought back.
Chanelling peak-Fyfe there.

I think we've all genuinely forgotten how freaking amazing Fyfe was at his peak, and I say that as someone who was in awe of what Pav could do all across the ground.Chanelling peak-Fyfe there.
I went down a rabbit hole looking for this one particular time when Fyfe was running full tilt down the wing at Subi. He didn’t break stride or slow down or do anything discernibly different in the way he was moving, but he bent down, scooped the ball up with one hand, and just kept running. Can’t remember what happened next, I was in awe of what he had just done, but I’m guessing it went into the forward 50 where Pav took a powerful contested mark (maybe).
Anyway, point of the story is, while I didn’t find that specific act, I watched a bunch of Fyfe highlights, and holy shit there was nothing he couldn’t do. It’s easy to forget how incredible he was now that his role has changed so much and he is no longer the main man. But I have to admit I got a tear in my eye watching just how damn good he was, and I thought how privileged we are to have had him at our club all these years.
I wasn't on BigFooty back then, but I remember being highly surprised by the move to the chevrons but I instantly loved it.Speaking of that jumper... He missed the 8% so he had to GTFO.Wow. Whatever happened to Memories? His departure was extremely sudden.
- We've had pet names for famous couple before...Brangelina, Bennifer etc, but have we got anything for the three headed Hydra up front? I reackon we will before the day is out.

Jacko was so elite in the middle!
Whole preseason in there trailing it up and he’s going to be insane.
The lighting quick mid hair flick he did and super quick releases are so nice to watch. Has a little shimmy in his step to which helps him.
Also unfortunately highlighted to me anyway how slow Ras is with it
But yeh Jacko Epic!
I noticed that going out at half time, Serong and Fyfe were in deep discussion.Serong seeking answers to how to break the tag!
I think we've all genuinely forgotten how freaking amazing Pyke was at his peak, and I say that as someone who was in awe of what Pav could do all across the ground.
I think he was a very highly self-motivated individual (Steve Smith type) as a young player, but grew into leadership and taking a wider view as captain. Becoming captain really pushed him out of his comfort zone IMO, personal growth. The leadership skills of Fyfe, are undervalued by the AFL community.
Alot still think he is a selfish, me me me person. He is giving back to the team, the team he "carried" for a number of years.
WC hate his bias against them and his bias for us, so he can’t win. On replay he is not so bad and at least he knows the game.Pav surely its time to enjoy yourself in a corporate box somewhere during Freo games having a glass of champagne.
We get it you don't want to be seen biased.
But your commentary is becoming so irritating from a Freo perspective its taking away any sort of balanced perspective and analysis in your commentary.
We know Schofield is a pillock. Don't need you adding it to it from an Anti-Freo persepctive.
I dont watch enough WC games in Perth - What is Pav actually like in the box in these games that don't involve Freo.
I've derailed the list management thread enough, so I'll post it here DaytsSpeaking of clipping
Could someone do the LJ 20m handball at 1:35 left in the 3rd of this upload. Elite
What I need is a gif of Voss taking that mark in front of goal with Treacy behind him already celebrating

I saw that too and it is not the first time this season he has done it either. While we're highlighting moments of brilliance. In the last on the outer wing, the ball spilled next to Reid and he bounced the ball back to himself basketball style. With a wet ball, under pressure. Kid is a jet.
Clark's too valuable defensively and on the rebound. Best in comp at his position for mine.Try Clark in the midfield. He has the speed and aggression and ball winning ability and kicking. Put Young back to half back until his fitness is back and hes done a full preseason again. Wagner to the wing. Run Forrest Run. We will be a running machine.
