the thing i absolutely love about finals is watching who steps up to the occasion. its my favorite thing in football. you can watch a player define their legacy in half a game. maybe not in an elimination final, but you have to start somewhere

Simpson has been our barometer all year.
When he is up and running we look very fast, skillful and dangerous and surprisingly our attack at the footy is ferocious. When he is shut down and not linking up we look slow and indecisive and "soft" around the stoppages.
I think outside the obvious (Fev and Judd) if one player is going to step it up to have an impact I think Simpson looms as a really important player for us.
