I dont know what stood pat is, but i know you cant have any free agents so what i am positive of is there was no counter strategy.

I should have been a little more precise and said 'out of contract players'.

As well, fans are realising that when a player can demand a move to a club of their choice, the main difference between out of contract players and free agents is who hands over the inadequate compensation.
