Feel really down since last week and have know confidence in us for this week, they seem to have our measure and we're carrying injuries to crucial players.

Maybe we played our grannie against the cats.:(
Sorry but seen the Pies loose too many GF's

Who's carrying injuries?

Re: Not confident

Who's carrying injuries?
didak and pendlebury got hard hits

but we'd still be better placed then Dal santo, gram, gardiner, dempster has a sore ankle supposedly

I'm in the same boat. I was confident last week, but after the game I'm anything but confident. I felt as though their system and game plan (even with annoying tag line of 'Saints Footy') had it over our game plan. I guess that there is a reason that they have beaten us soo often in recent times.

Re: Not confident

Got to have faith champ.
Remember we have fantastic coaches and IMO the best captain (leadership wise) in the AFL.
I think the Saints threw us everything and the kitchen sink and were lucky to get a draw with us. It seemed a lot went there way at times, and if we can improve just 1 or 2 % which we will then we should win.

Re: Not confident

Malthouse will have confidence in Cloke and tell him to have shots at every opportunity, i would rather him say this than your best is 45m to 55m range.

If Swan Pendles Didak and Cloke have better games this week we'll win.

Re: Not confident

I know where your coming from Copeland, but you have to show faith in this lot based on the fact that they haven't let us down once this year.

And whilst Didak is injured (Pendles is fine) the Sainters have come off way worse. I know for a fact that Gram is in serious doubt for this week, Dal as well. Whilst many players were carrying injuries and have aggrevated them on the weekend.

With our younger bodies able to get up easier than St.kilda's olders one, this is where we can get the edge.

Have faith mate!

I think we can get the edge through our younger bodies

Re: Not confident

kinda confident. look at our friggen i-50s. assuming we can maintain that same i-50 pressure, surely we can get more than 10 marks i-50 this week? surely mick won't let st kilda rebound with the same relative ease as they did this week?

don't take my word for it though; i tipped us by 50 :D:D:D

Re: Not confident

We will smash them
If we kicked straight it would have been an 8 goal lead

Pies by 6 goals

WE DIDN'T LOSE.

Simple as that, we didn't ****ing lose.

Sorry to go off a bit, but a draw against Stkilda, with the way they came home was a decent result for us.

You have to positive, because yes we have lost a shit load of GF's in the past, but this week we didn't lose a close one, which in post WW2 history, is something that doesn't happen at Collingwood.

This is the new Collingwood, we will win on Saturday, I am even more confident then I was last week.

THE MCG AND AAMI PARK WILL BE BLACK AND WHITE HEAVEN FROM 5.15 PM ON.:thumbsu::D

Re: Not confident

Where's the evidence to suggest Didak will be out? I saw the hard hits with him and Pendles too, but let's not assume he's out until we have anything concrete to go on.

Likewise with assuming players will be out for the Saints. Both clubs will be working tirelessly to have everyone up and about.

Re: Not confident

I think we have every right to be confidant. St Kilda couldnt beat us with a lucklustre performance by our leading players and some missed goals.

Saints I reckon have more fight in them when it counts, but if the game can be put beyond reach, their impact can be lessened to the point where anything they do will be too little too late. But, it will still be a close game. Our players need to step up to where they didnt last week, and the saints players need to back up what they did last week to get back in the game.

It will come down to who can do the little things this week that they didnt do last week in order to win the game.

Re: Not confident

For God's sake, Copeland and JKI, get a grip. What are you both, 12 years old?? You sound like whipped b_tches. Keep the rest of your depressive crap for your diaries and not this board.

We will smash them like guitars.

Always seem to agree with you mattys.

Stop being so freaking negative! Sure the grand final was devastating for both the supporters and especially the players who went to war that day, but they have to refocus and so do we. Stop saying "oh we are crap we will lose" and the likes and start supporting your team! We ride the highs and take the low blows, its what being a Collingwood supporter is!

Re: Not confident

The positive is, that they outplayed us for the better part of 3 quarters and we still probably should have won.

Ross Lyon last night himself admitted he thought they had the better of the first quarter after the first ten minutes, and I agree with him.

Which means we basically almost beat them with half an hour of football with most of our players off their game.

Pendles, Swan, Didak, Ball, Harry, Wellingham, Macaffer, Dawes, Leroy, Beames. All these guys were WELL below their normal minimum standard.

I doubt the majority will put in another below average effort again. But you never know.

Re: Not confident

I now doubt the doubters and have lost confidence in those who have lost confidence:)

Re: Not confident

:thumbsu: Come on everyone... I also have felt as flat as if a B-double semi squashed smashed me out of this world.....sooooo flat But here we go!! we have to lift...crikey if the players were still flat they might as well stay home .....so let's look at it like we are so lucky not to have lost - you know "glass half full" stuff Go Pies !!!! This board is for all opinions. Call me what you like. If I was only 12 I wouldn't remember playing nearly five GF's in a row when I was 20 and winning none. Deppressive crap is our history, but then you mightn't be old enough to remember. If we win, you can whip me like a bitch until then you can get *** ******
How old are you tosser.
