Sorry to intrude guys but just wanted to say congrats on winning the flag and also tell you what fun I had being Pie for a week.

My Business partner is a mad Collingwood supporter and like many of you has been waiting for his day in the sun.

In 2006 he came with me to watch my side win the flag and draped himself as an eagle for the week and embrace the GF and enjoy it with his best mate.

I was fortunate that I could do the same for him this year and became a pie for a week.
We travelled over and watched the drawn GF and then weighed up whether to stay for the week or not, the cost of hotels etc etc we could not justify so we came home and watched on the weekend.

It was so great watching my mate have such a good day and seeing him with his boys in collingwood gear.

It is hard not to like watching you guys play at the moment, you simply are an awesome team that plays an awesome brand of football.

To see first hand the passion of your supporters and the depth of that passion was a little bit of an eye opener. of course you guys have as many corporate supporters as everyone else but there is an underlying passion which stands out.

So just wanted to say well done by your club and for you supporters. To be a pie for a week was an experience we don't see here anymore since the WAFL became second tier. A real tribal feeling.

Thanks for a great couple of weeks and even better my best mate has finally seen his side win a flag.

All the best for the future. It looks bright for you guys.

A great gesture, and intertesting to see it from someone elses eyes. When you're in the moment and supporting the club, you can't see what the passion looks like from the outside, if that makes sense.

Pity you couldn't have seen first hand the experience of the winning GF, but sounds like you had a good time nevertheless.

Cheers

Hehe. I too jumped aboard for the Grand Final and it was fun! For me though, it was like using a PC after using a Mac for years - going to the dark side but finding you enjoy it!

Anyway, congratulations to you all, you were without doubt the best team of the year and the future looks bright with such a relatively young list.

I enjoyed jumping on you guys in your GFs too especially against the Saints...lol...thanks for the memories :)....it's safe to say mutual respect does exist with some club supporters...so thanks for the well wishes.

However, in saying that I hope the Saints, Carlscum, Essendon and Richmond NEVER win another flag.

Likewise ;) Saying that, I had a BRILLIANT day on Saturday cheering your mob on. Being apart of the Collingwood chant on such a special day was really something :) Atmosphere was just crazy. Congrats :thumbsu:

Haha that's awesome. Cheers guys.

Look, at the end of the day, people are right to say we are annoying and often disrespectful...but to be part of the chants, the marches and a B&W premiership is something pretty special.

I thought we were well behaved this year considering the large numbers. The wait was worth it.

Congratulations. Thoroughly deserved victory on the balance of the season. You may have again changed the way Footy is played...that relentless pressure was unbelievable.
Well coached, well drilled...a great team effort.
