Cheers mate. However on being the "better side", I'm not too sure about that. We dominated in the midfield, smashed you in the clearences and had a lot more scoring shots. What if we had kicked straight? It would've been much close at 3 quarter time, but that really doesn't matter now as we got the 4 points.

Bad luck for your mob, but you'll bounce back. No doubt.

And we'll have Thornton back too, he has a good record against Lloyd. He's never played a good game against T-Bird, and hasn't dominated against Carlton in years. So I'm not that worried, unless Thornton is out then.

On ya buddy, what a sensational last quarter (for the Blues).

We were terribly innacurate in front of goals, which really cost us up to three quarter time. Whereas the Dons simply converted and converted and converted, every chance they got.

When will the Blues, and other AFL clubs, learn that Lucas cannot kick on his right foot? Every player who is matched up with Lucas should force him to use his right foot, it really isn't that hard. He's always going to swing back inside to try and use the left foot. It's what keeps him from being a true "star" in the AFL, that he's only got 1 foot.

Anyway, Lucas generally kills us. I can't remember how many times he's kicked 3-5 goals against us.

Great game Blues. Worth ethic from Fevola, Whits, Betts and late in the game even Waite - sensational. We're back on track!

Yeh, it was a great game, but our innacuracy really hurt us. Good thing we came back in the end. Much closer than I thought it would be.

Sensational last term from Carlton. But I was surprised at Fevola for the first 3 quarters, it was like he'd forgotten how to lead. Also it surprised me to read today that Eddie Betts kicked 3 goals, it didn't seem like he did that much last night when I was at the ground. Then again I couldn't see the video scoreboard as I was in the new stand.

Our innacuracy really cost us big time and imo we are extremely lucky to have gotten over the line in the end. One thing I noticed which I thought was extremely ordinary was how constantly we were not manning up and Essondon would get a free run and an easy shot at goal. Hopefully this is something which the team will go over during the week.

Great comeback by the boys last night. Personally I thought we were gone the whole time through the 3rd quarter. Our forward line still worries me. When Fev and Lance don't fire we can't rely on bid De Luca and Eddie to kick 3 goals each every week.

Hopefully Dennis gives Waitey a chance to play a full game in the forward line one of these days. I wouldn't be surprised if he could do for us what Lucas did for the bombers last nite.

Waites disposal on times is very poor, but I liked him last night on occasions, good attack on the footy.

At the moment he is still a bit underdone so give him a few games and the young fella could produce something very special.

Davies can also kick a couple when he wants too, he has matured a lot and I like him very much.

Deluca had his best game last night, should give him a lot of confidence and Eddie likewise.

I thought Essendon deserved to win last night. Sheedy knew we would dominate the clearences and developed a gameplan to counter it. Essendon were harder than us and certainly executed their gameplan better than we did. Our inability to man up was extremely frustrating. I was spitting chips. I'm just hopeful that last quarter can spark something in us.

On a positive note, Davies, Carrazzo and Betts were excelent I thought. The four points for the win is important aswell. It means our season's not finished.
